Ysgol Bêl-droed Pasg yn lwyddiant ysgubol! - Osian Roberts
Easter Soccer School a great success! - Osian Roberts

Saesneg / English

Daeth ysgol Bêl-droed Pasg i ben heddiw mewn haul braf. Ymysg gweithgareddau’r dydd oedd cystadleuaeth Ciciau o’r Smotyn yn erbyn yr ymosodwr o fri, a oedd yn gynharach wedi rhoi gwersi meistr ar sut i gymryc ciciau o’r smotyn drwy sgorio tair yn erbyn Osian Roberts! Yn ôl Osian, dim ond ceisio cadw hyder y prif ymosodwr yn uchel oedd o a beth bynnag, “roedd yr haul yn fy llygaid!!!”.

Yn dilyn gemau o safon uchel, coronwyd ‘Lloegr’ yn bencmpwyr y Byd. Yn y seremoni gau, rhannwyd nifer o wobrau gan chwaraewyr y tîm cyntaf – Carl Owen a Gareth Caugheter – gan gynnwys arfbais a cylch-goriadau Cymru, pêl-droed, crysau-t a photeli-dŵr. Cafodd yr holl blant Dystysgrif a thocynnau am ddim i weld gem olaf y tymor yn erbyn Y Trallwng. Hefyd yn y gêm hon bydd Jac Annwyl Jones ac Iwan Rhys Jones yn fasgotiaid – gwobr am eu cyfaniad gwych trwy gydol y ddau ddiwrnod.

Ar ail ddiwrnod yr hyfforddiant, cafodd timau yr Academi o-dan-14 ac o-dan-16 hyfforddant gan Carl a Gareth, cyn eu gêm ddiddorol yn erbyn HVV Den – Haag ar y Traeth ar ddydd Iau, Mai yr 2il (7pm). Byddai llawer o’r chwaraewyr yn falch iawn o allu ailadrodd yr ergyd troed chwith a sgoriodd Caughter yn ystod y seisiwn!

Roedd CPD Porthmadog yn falch iawn gyda llwyddiant yr Ysgol Bêl-droed. Dywedodd Osian Roberts “cafodd pawb amser gwych, ac mae’n profi fod angen y math yma o beth yn yr ardal. Dywedodd llawer o rieni a phlant y byddant yn ôl i’r un nesaf yn mis Mehefin.”

Bydd yr Ysgol Bêl-droed nesaf yn cael ei gynnal yng Nghlwb Chwaraeon Madog at ddyddiau Iau a Gwener, Mehefin 1af ac 2il. Bydd ffurflenni cais ar gael o Ebrill 24ain – mynnwch eich lle yn fuan!

Porthmadog FC’s Soccer School ended today in glorious sunshine. The action packed day including a Penalty Kick competition against star striker Carl Owen, who had earlier given a master class on how to take penalties by slotting his three penalties past Osian Roberts. Osian does however claim that he was only trying to keep the star striker’s confidence on a high and later commented that “the sun was in my eyes!!!”.

Following some excellent games, ‘England’ were crowned the World Cup Winners. In the closing ceremony several prizes and awards were handed out by Port’s first team players Carl Owen and Gareth Caughter including Wales’ Pennants and Key Rings, footballs, t-shirts and water bottles. All the children also received a Certificate and free passes to Port’s final game of the season at home to Welshpool, which as a result of their outstanding contribution throughout the two days, both Jac Annwyl Jones and Iwan Rhys Jones will be game Mascots.

Receiving coaching tips by Carl and Gareth on the second day were the Academy’s Under 14 and Under 16 sides before their interesting match against HVV Den – Haag on the Traeth on Tuesday, May 2nd ( ko 7pm ). Quite a few of the players would love to replicate the quality left foot curler that Caughter despatched during the session!

Porthmadog FC were delighted with how the Soccer School had gone, Osian Roberts saying “everyone had a great time, and it proves that there is a need for this kind of thing in the area. Several of the parents and children vowed they would be back for the next one in June.”

The next Soccer School will be held at the Clwb Chwaraeon on Thursday and Friday, June 1 and 2 and Application Forms will be available from Monday, April 24 so please book early to avoid disappointment.
