19/10/18 Wyth yn olynol / Eight straight wins Cafwyd y cychwyn gorau I ‘Benwythnos y gemau Darbi’ wrth i hogia’ Sion Eifion ychwanegu at eu record cant y cant gyda’u 8fed buddugoliaeth yn olynol a sgôr o 8-0. Chwaraewyd y gêm ar Y Traeth o flaen torf arbennig o dda. Llwyddodd Pwllheli i gadw’r gêm yn ddi-sgôr am henner awr cyn i Port rhwydo ddwywaith mewn 2 funud, gyda Dion Roberts yn cael y gynta’ ar ôl 32 munud a wedyn Sion Parry yn dyblu’r fantais. Yn yr ail hanne rychwanegwyd at y goliau yn rheolaidd, Cai Henshaw cafodd y 3ydd a Sion Parry yn rhwydo ddwywaith; yr ail o’r smotyn i gwblhau ei hatric a gwneud y sgôr yn 5-0 ar ôl 76 munud. Ond daliodd y goliau i ddod wrth i Reece Evans, Carl O’Hara a Ben Williams, yn ei gêm gynta’, gwblhau’r sgorio. Ymlaen at Gwpan Cymru. C’mon Port! Sion Eifion’s Port Reserves made it 8 straight league victories with another convincing win and an 8-0 score-line. Port and Pwllheli got the ‘Derby Weekend’ off to a great start playing a Reserve League fixture in front of an excellent crowd at the Traeth. Pwllheli held Port at bay for the opening half-hour but then Port struck twice in the space of two minutes with Dion Roberts netting after 32 mins followed by leading scorer Sion Parry doubling the lead. Then in the second period goals came at regular intervals, as first Cai Henshaw made it 3-0, Sion Parry then netted twice, completing his hat trick from the penalty spot. This made it 5-0 after76 mins but the goals kept coming with Reece Evans, Carl O’Hara and new signing Ben Williams completing the scoring. On to the JD Welsh Cup. C’mon Port! 18/10/18 Cic Gyntaf am 2 p’r gloch / Kick of at 2pm Cofiwch fod y gic cyntaf yn y gêm Gwpan pnawn Sadwrn yn Pwllheli am 2 pm. Supporters should note that Saturday’s Welsh Cup tie at Pwllheli will kick off at 2 pm 18/10/18 Cefnogwch yr Ail-dîm / Support the Reserves Mae’n benwythnos y gemau Darbi yn Llyn ac Eifionydd gyda rhagflas I’r gêm Cwpan Cymru cael ei chwarae ar Y Traeth nos yfory (nos Wener) wrth I’r ail-dimau, Port a Pwllheli, gyfarfod mewn gêm gynghrair Bydd Ail-dîm Port yn edrych I ymestyn eu record gant y cant. Bydd y prif hyfforddwr Sion Eifion yn croesawu Ben Williams i’r garfan. Mae’r amddiffynwr yn ymuno o Academi Bangor. Bydd y gic gyntaf am 7.30pm. Its Derby weekend in Llyn and Eifionydd with the reserves of Port and Pwllheli meeting at the Traeth tomorrow night (Friday) in a Reserve League match, a game which is a more than suitable prelude to Welsh Cup tie between the two clubs’ senior teams. Port Reserves will be looking to extend their current outstanding league record of Played 7. Won 7. Head coach, Sion Eifion will be welcoming new signing Ben Williams, a defender who joins from Bangor City Academy. Kick off is at 7.30pm 17/10/18 Darbi Llyn & Eifionydd / JD Welsh Cup Round 1 Mae ‘Penwythnos Croen Banana’yma, gyda Rownd 1 o Gwpan Cymru yn cael ei chwarae. Bron yn sicr erbyn nos Sadwrn bydd yna ambell sioc wedi’i chreu. Y gamp ydy sicrhau nad eich clwb chi sy’n cwympo. Bydd darbi lleol yn ychwanegu ’chydig o sbeis i‘r achlysur â chefnogwyr wedi aros 18 mlynedd ers y d’wetha’. I gyrraedd y Rownd 1af mae Pwllheli eisoes wedi dod drwy dwy gêm gymhwyso. Yn y gyntaf, yn Llannefydd, roedd angen ciciau o’r smotyn cyn i Bwllheli sicrhau y fuddugoliaeth. Wedyn roedd angen amser ychwanegol cyn curo Prestatyn Sports o 4-3. Ar gychwyn y tymor presennol bu’n rhaid i Bwllheli oedi dipyn wrth i’r Gymdeithas Bel-droed ymyrryd yn y penderfyniad am ba adran roeddynt i chwarae eleni. Rwan, a hithau yn ganol mis Hydref, dim ond 4 gêm gynghrair maent wedi chwarae. Eu record yn Adran 2 y Welsh Alliance ydy ennill 2 ac un gêm gyfartal. Mae gan Bwllheli nifer o chwaraewyr a chysylltiadau efo’r Traeth, Cafodd Gareth Jones Evans dau gyfnod da gyda Port ac mae pawb yn ymwybodol o’i allu i droi gêm. Un arall ydy Cai Jones sydd â’r ddawn i greu a sgorio goliau. Wrth gwrs mae Jake Jones yno hefyd, ar fenthyg o Port, ac mae eisoes wedi bod yn brysur yn sgorio i Bwllheli. Rheolwr Pwllheli ydy Ben Ogilivy a chwaraeodd dros Port yn 2008/09. Mae Port ar rhediad da, ond wedi colli un o’u chwe gêm ddiwethaf ac yn gobeithio parhau â’r rhediad. Y newyddion da ydy fod Jay Gibbs wedi ymarfer yr wythnos hon ac yn barod i ddod yn ol i'r garfan. Mae rhediad da yn y Gwpan yn creu diddordeb a chyffro. Gwelwyd hyn llynedd wrth i dorf o gefnogwyr deithio i Gei Conna yn Rownd 4. C’mon Port!! Saturday is ‘Banana Skin Day’ when the 1st Round of the JD Welsh Cup is almost sure to turn up a surprise or two and the secret is to make sure that your club avoids being the fall guy. Our visit to Pwllheli has the extra spice of being a local derby and one that represents a wait of18 years since the last competitive encounter. To reach this stage Pwllheli have already come through two away qualifying rounds. In the first, they needed a penalty shoot-out to dispose of Llannefydd, while in the second extra-time was required to get past Prestatyn Sports by 4-3. Pwllheli had a delayed start to the season when the FAW became involved in the saga of which division they were to play this season. As a result, by mid-October, they have only played 4 league fixtures in WA Division 2, winning 2 and one ending in a draw. They have several players closely linked to the Traeth. Gareth Jones Evans had two spells with Port and no one at the Traeth will need reminding of the match winning ability he possesses. Carl Jones is another with the individual skills to turn a game. Jake Jones is a promising young forward currently on-loan at Pwllheli and he has already been amongst the goals. Pwllheli are managed by Ben Ogilvy who played for Port in 2008/09. Port have lost just once in their last six games and will hope to continue their run of form into the Welsh Cup.The good news is that Jay Gibbs has trained this week and should be available on Saturday. A Cup run certainly adds excitement and interest to a season as was shown by the travelling support Port drummed up for their Round 4 visit to Connah’s Quay last season. C’mon Port! 16/10/18 Cassia yn ysbrydoliaeth i ferched Port / Cassia an inspiration for Port girl players Un o’r datblygiadau mwyaf cadarnhaol ar y Traeth yn ystod 2018 ydy’r twf mewn cyfleoedd pêl-droed i ferched. Heb amheuaeth mae llwyddiant Cassia Pike wedi bod yn ysbrydoliaeth i’r merched ifanc. Rhwydodd Cassia, sydd yn chwarae i glwb merched Lerpwl, i dîm Dan19 Cymru mewn gêm rhyngwladol yn Yerevan wythnos ddiwethaf. Cyfrannodd at y fuddugoliaeth o 6-0 dros Armenia. Daeth o’r fainc wedi 59 munud ac, mewn dim ond 8 munud, roedd wedi sgorio! Mae Cassia, sydd yn chwarae yn y blaen, yn barod wedi chwarae i dîm cyntaf Lerpwl ac hefyd, wedi’i dewis i brif garfan Cymru gan yr hyfforddwraig cenedlaethol, Jayne Ludlow. Mae Cassia hefyd wedi cefnogi gwaith Gethin Jones gyda’r cynllun Pêl-droed yn y Gymuned. Trefnwyd sesyinau ‘Troi fyny a Chwarae’ a ‘Phêl-droed amser cinio’i’r genrthod. Pan fod ei hamserlen brysur yn caniatáu mae Cassia wedi helpu efo sawl sesiwn hyfforddi i ferched ifanc Port. One of the most positive developments at the Traeth during 2018 has been the growth of football opportunities for girls. No doubt the success Cassia Pike is having has been a huge inspiration for these local youngsters. Cassis, who plays for Liverpool FC Ladies, found the net for Wales U19s in last week’s international in Yerevan against Armenia, contributing to a 6-0 victory. Cassia came from the bench after 59 minutes and in just 8 minutes had found the net! Cassia has already appeared for the first team at Liverpool and has also received a call-up to the senior Wales squad from Wales team manager Jayne Ludlow. She has also supported the work of the Port Football in the Community Officer, Gethin Jones, who has been busy developing girls football with ‘Turn up and Play’ and ‘Dinner-time football’ sessions. Cassia, when her busy schedule allows, has supported the organised coaching sessions for the aspiring young girl players of Porthmadog. 13/10/18 Archwiliad o'r cae am 10am / Pitch inspection at 10am Oherwydd y glaw trwm, sy'n parhau i ddisgyn, mae Conwy wedi cadarnhau y bydd archwiliad o'r Morfa yn cael ei gynnal am 10am bore ma. ***Archwiliad pellach am 11:45am*** Yn dilyn yr archwiliad diweddaraf, mae Conwy wedi cadarnhau y bydd y gem yn cael ei chwarae - y gic gyntaf am 2:30. Due to the continuing heavy rain, Conwy have confirmed that a pitch inspection of the Morfa will take place at 10am this morning. ***Further inspection at 11:45am*** Following the latest inspection, Conwy have confirmed that the game is ON - kick-off 2:30. 12/10/18 Ail-dîm yn yn ennill gêm gyffrous / Exciting win for Reserves Mewn gêm gyffrous cadwodd yr Ail-dîm eu record cant y cant diolch i gic o’r smotyn gan Sion Parry ar ôl 89 munud. Er waethaf Storom Callum chwaraewyd y gêm rhwng 1af a 3ydd yn y tabl ar Y Traeth heno. Aeth Port ddwy gôl ar y blaen yn yr hanner cyntaf gyda Cai Henshaw a Rhys Hughes yn sgorio. Yn yr ail-hanner tarodd Conwy yn ôl i’w gwneud yn 2-2 cyn mynd ar y blaen am y tro cyntaf. Ni ildiodd Port, a daeth Jack Davies, chwaraewr ifanc a chwaraeodd ei gêm gyntaf i’r tîm cyntaf yn erbyn Dinbych, â’r sgôr yn gyfartal unwaith eto. Wedyn cipiwyd y 3 phwynt ar y diwedd un. C’mon Port!! Port Reserves hung on to their 100% record thanks to an 89th minute penalty by Sion Parry. Port and Conwy Reserves defied Storm Callum to play out a tense exciting contest at the Traeth tonight. Port went 2-0 up in the first half with goals from Cai Henshaw and Rhys Hughes. In the second period Conwy struck back to level the scores on 2-2 and then went ahead for the first time in the game. Port were not done however and with 10 minutes remaining Jack Davies, who made his first team debut as a sub against Denbigh recently, scored the equaliser. Sion Parry’s then grabbed the late winner. C’mon Port!! 11/10/18 Conwy Borough v Port Rhagolwg / Preview Pnawn Sadwrn bydd gan Port yr un gwrthwynebwyr ond mewn lleoliad gwahanol. Taith i Gonwy sy’n aros Port am yr ail ran o’r frwydr rhwng y ddau. Y tro yma Y Morfa y lleoliad a mynd am y pwyntiau fydd y ddau. Roedd canlyniad terfynol gêm Gwpan y Sadwrn diwethaf yn y fantol tan ddiwedd y 90 munud, gyda ond un gôl yn rhannu’r ddau. Er waethaf eu mantais mewn meddiant, cael hi’n anodd agor amddiffyn Conwy oedd hanes Port ac roedd yn ddwfn yn yr amser ychwanegol cyn i’r ail gôl gyrraedd. Bu gwelliant mawr ym mherfformiadau diweddar Port gan ennill 4 o’u 5 gêm ddiwethaf. Yn anffodus, wrth edrych ar eu safle yn y gynghrair, daeth dwy o’r buddugoliaethau mewn gemau Cwpan yn erbyn Bwcle a Chonwy. Un gêm mae ein gwrthwynebwyr wedi’i golli o’r 5 gêm gynghrair ddiwethaf. Bydd y frwydr am bwyntiau yn ail gychwyn pnawn Sadwrn. Sylwer mai dim on 2 bwynt sydd rhwng Port, yn y 5ed safle, a’r Fflint, sydd yn 2il. C’mon Port!! It’s a case of the same opponents for Port on Saturday but a different venue and a different competition. They travel to Conwy to take on the Borough in part two of a double header, this time for league points at the Morfa. The final result of last Saturday’s Cup-tie at the Traeth remained very much on a knife edge for the whole of the 90 minutes. Despite their control of possession, Port found it difficult to break down the Conwy rear-guard and it was deep into added time before the second goal arrived. Port have seen their form pick up in recent games, recording four wins in their last five games. Unfortunately for their league position, two of those wins have been in Huws Gray Cup against Buckley and Conwy. Conwy have been beaten just once in their last five league matches. The battle for league points will resume on Saturday in a game between 5th and 6th placed clubs. Just two points separate Port in 5th and Flint in 2nd place. C’mon Port!! 10/10/18 Ail-dîm yn chware nos Wener / Reserves play on Friday Bydd yr Ail-dîm yn chwarae gêm gynghrair nos Wener. Conwy fydd yr ymwelwyr i’r Traeth a bydd y gic gyntaf am 7.30pm. Mae gan Gonwy record dda y tymor hwn a nhw sydd yn y 3ydd safle yn y tabl tu ôl i Port a Llanrug. Bydd yn noson brysur i glybiau yng Nghynghrair yr Ail-dimau nos Wener, gyda pedair gêm yn cymryd lle. The Reserves return to league action on Friday. Conwy Borough Res wil be the visitors to the Traeth and the game will kick off at 7.30pm. Conwy have a good record this season and lie in 3rd place behind Port an Llanrug. Friday will be a busy evening in the Reserve League with four matches taking place. 08/10/18 Gemau Ail-dîm yn mis Hydref / October Fixtures for Reserves Dyma gemau’r Ail-dîm am fis Hydref Nos Wener, 12 Hydref Port v Conwy 7.30pm Sadwrn 27 Hydref Llanrug v Port 2,30pm Reserve Fixtures in October Friday 12 October Port v Conwy Borough 7.30pm Saturday 27 October Llanrug v Port 2.30pm 07/10/18 Dan19 allan o’r Gwpan / U19s go out Siom gafodd y tîm Dan 19 yn eu gem heddiw yn Rownd 1af Cwpan Ieuenctid Cymru. Colli’n drwm oedd eu hanes yn Penycae gyda’r tîm cartref yn ennill o 6-1. Pob lwc i’n gwrthwynebwyr yn eu gêm yn Rownd 2. It was disappointment for the U19s in this afternoon’s 1st Round FAW Youth Cup tie. They went down heavily at Penycae with the home team winning by 6-1. Coach Sion Eifion commented: “Really proud of a young Port Reserves side today for working hard with so many players missing. Full credit to Penycae who have some great young talent! Thanks for hosting and wish you the very best in the next round!”. 06/10/18 Rownd Cynderfynol / Semi-final Draw Yn syth ar defyn y gemau heddiw yn yr Wyth Olaf yng Nghwpan Huws Gray death yr enwau o’r het fela ganlyn: CPD PORTHADOG V AIRBUS BRYCHDYN CAERGYBI V BANGOR Chwareir y gemau ar Sadwrn, Chwefror 9fed. Port bydd y tîm cartref ar Y Traeth. The draw was made at the final whistle of today’s Huws Gray Cup quarter-finals. The names came out as follows: CPD PORTHMADOG V AIRBUS BROUGHTON HOLYHEAD HOTSPURS v BANGOR CITY The games will be played on Saturday February 9th. Port will be at home at the Traeth. 06/10/18 Datganiad ynglyn â Joe Caplin / A statement regarding Joe Chaplin Mae’r rheolwr Craig Papirnyk wedi rhyddau’r datganiad isod ynglyn â sefyllfa’r blaenwr Joe Chaplin. Manager Craig Papirnyk has released the following statement regarding the position of forward Joe Chaplin. Craig said, “Joe Chaplin will be joining Airbus FC, it is a not a decison we have accepted lightly and it has been quite a complicated matter. “It is with regret however that Joe is leaving us, we are losing our top scorer and I am disappointed to see Joe go, ultimately it was his decison to leave. “As a club we move forward and will continue to grow on and off the field, it is important that people want to be here for the right reasons and it is part of the game that we have comings and goings. “I would like to wish Joe all the best in the future." 05/10/18 Cwpan Ieuenctid Cymru / FAW Youth Cup Pob Lwc i’r Tîm Ieuenctid pnawn Sul nesa (7 Hydref). Byddant yn teithio I Penycae ar gyfer Rownd 1 Cwpan Ieuenctid Cymru. Bydd y gic gyntaf am 1.30pm Best of luck to our U19s who travel to Penycae on Sunday for a game in Round 1 of the FAW Youth Cup. Kick off is at 1.30pm. 04/10/18 Port v Conwy: Rhagolwg / Preview Gêm yn 2ail Rownd Cwpan Huws Gray fydd ar Y Traeth pnawn Sadwrn. Yr ymwelwyr fydd Conwy...Yn y Rownd 1af cafwyd gêm rhwng dau o’r clybiau a gafodd ddyrchafiad y tymor diwethaf gyda Conwy yn mynd drwodd ar ôl rhoi dipyn o gweir i Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant gyda’r sgôr terfynol yn 4-0, Roedd Corrig McGonigle ar dân yn rhwydo deirgwaith. Mae’r blaenwr wedi sgorio 5 o goliau yn y gynghrair hefyd. Bydd angen cadw golwg ar Corrig felly! Unwaith eto a fel yn erbyn Bwcle yn y rownd ddiwethaf, mae’r draw wedi taflu gemau gefn wrth gefn gyda Conwy ddau Sadwrn yn olynol. Gêm Gwpan ar Y Traeth, a gêm Gynghrair ar Y Morfa i ddilyn ar Hydref 13. Gwnaeth Conwy adennill eu lle yn yr HGA ar ôl treulio un tymor yn unig yn y Welsh Alliance. Gyda Gareth Thomas yn cael ei ddewis yn rheolwr gwnaeth y clwb ail adeiladu yn sydyn iawn. Er i glwb Y Morfa golli eu dwy gêm gyntaf yn dilyn dyrchafiad, addaswyd i’r lefel uwch yn gyflym. Cawsant rhediad da yn ddiweddar gyda buddugoliaethau dros Rhyl a Dinbych a gêm gyfartal yn Y Fflint.Er iddynt golli i Fangor, agos iawn oedd y canlyniad. Erbyn hyn maent yn y 5ed safle yn y tabl gyda un pwynt yn fwy na Port. Gobaith Port ydy fod y fuddugoliaeth y Sadwrn diwethaf yn arwydd fod y clwb yn ail gydio yn y math o chwarae a welwyd ar gychwyn y tymor. Da oedd gweld Dale Davies yn rhwydo ddwywaith a hefyd Dewi Thomas yn ffit i chwarae ei gêm gyntaf ers ymuno â’r clwb. Bydd enillwyr y gêm hon yn sicrhau lle yn y rownd gynderfynol. C’mon Port! On Saturday at the Traeth we have a 2nd Round tie in the Huws Gray Cup. The visitors will be Conwy Borough. In the 1st Round of the competition Conwy gained a convincing 4-0 victory over Llanrhaeader-ym-Mochnant with free scoring forward Corrig McGonigle netting a hat-trick. The striker has also netted 5 goals in the league. We’ll need to keep an eye on Corrig! As in the first round with Buckley, the Cup draw has produced another freak double-header as we follow up Saturday’s cup-tie with a league visit to Conwy on October 13th. Conwy Borough were relegated from the HGA to the Welsh Alliance but have regained their place after just one season. Under manager Gareth Thomas the Morfa club quickly re-stablished itself. Though they started this campaign with two defeats they have recovered quickly and were soon picking up points and climbing the table. They are currently placed 5th with one point more than Port. They are in a good run of recent form with wins over both Rhyl and Denbigh and an away draw at Flint and. though suffering a defeat against Bangor, it was by the narrowest of margins. Port will hope that last Saturday’s big home win is a sign that the early season form is back and good to see new striker Dale Davies getting a couple and Dewi Thomas fit to make his first appearance since signing for Port. On Saturday the winners of this second-round tie will win a place in the semi-finals. Yn yr ail hanner sgoriodd Sion Parry y 4ydd gôl a cyn y diwedd Sion eto efo’r 5ed. Sioc y noson oedd i sgoriwr yr hatric ddwbl fethu cic o’r smotyn!! The Reserves go through to the 2nd Round of the Lock Stock Fireworks Cup with a convincing victory by 5-0 over Llanrwst. The opening goal was scored by Cai Henshaw after 20 mins and two more goals, from Cai Henshaw again and Carl O’Hara with the 3rd. In the second half Sion Parry got his name on the score sheet and chipped in with Port’s 5th before the end. Yn dilyn yr ymweliad â Chaergybi nos Fawrth, bydd Port adre i Ddinbych pnawn Sadwrn. Ni gafodd Dinbych y cychwyn gorau I’r tymor ond erbyn hyn maent ar i fyny. Cawsant tair buddugoliaeth yn y 5 gêm ddiwethaf. Daeth buddugoliaeth gynta’r tymor adre yn erbyn Bangor, a hyn yn dilyn buddugoliaeth Port yn Nantporth, gan wneud i’r golau coch fflachio dros Nantporth. Yn amlwg wedi’r canlyniadau diweddarl tydi Dinbych ddim yn glwb i’w gymryd yn ysgafn. Ni fyddai’r tymor hwn y cynta iddynt gychwyn braidd yn araf ond does dim angen atgoffa neb eu bod yn gwella wrth i’r ymor fynd rhagddo a nhw oedd y clwb a orffennodd yn yr ail safle llynedd tu ôl i Gaernarfon. Dros yr haf collodd y clwb eu rheolwr llwyddianus Eddie Morris Jones ac wrth iddo symud i’r Rhyl aeth a nifer o chwaraewyr efo fo. Gadawodd hyn y tîm rheoli newydd, Dewi Llion a Matty Jones, â dipyn o waith recriwtio. Roedd arwyddo y blaenwr Alfons Fosu-Mensah ar fenthyg yn dipyn o coup gan iddo rhwydo 20 gôl i Airbus llynedd. Gwnaeth y fuddugoliaeth dros Y Rhyl, yng Nghwpan Huws Gray mewn gêm a dipyn ‘edge’ iddi, gryn les i hyder y garfan o gofio’r digwyddiadau dros yr haf. Bydd Port yn edrych i adeiladu ar noson lwyddianus yng Nghaergybi gan sirrhau tri phwynt a fu’n rhaid gweithio’n galed amdano. C’mon Port! For their second league fixture of the week next Saturday, Port will be at home to Denbigh Town. They did not have the the best of start to the season but they are now moving up the table having won three of their last five league fixtures. Their first win of the season was quite a scalp when, they followed Port’s win over Bangor City at Nantporth by inflicting another defeat on the relegated WPL club and sent the warning lights flashing around Nantporth. The Central Park club have been notoriously slow starters but are not opponents to be taken lightly. In previous seasons they have soon gathered pace and last season finished up as runners-up to Caernarfon Town. Over the summer they lost their manager Eddie Maurice Jones who led them to a successful 2017/18 season. He has now moved to Rhyl taking with him several Denbigh squad members. It left new joint coaches Dewi Llion and Matty Jones with some recruiting to do. Getting Alfons Fosu-Mensah on loan from Llandudno was a big signing, bearing in mind his 20 goals for Airbus last season. The win over Rhyl in the Huws Gray Cup will have given the squad confidence in what was a game with something of an edge to it given what had happened over the summer. Bydd Port yn edrych i adeiladu ar noson lwyddianus yng Nghaergybi gan sirrhau tri phwynt a fu’n rhaid gweithio’n galed amdano. C’mon Port! 26/09/18 Rhowch Gynnig ar y Tote / Tote! Have a Go! Tote envelopes available from Kaleidoscope, Y Ganolfan, Porthmadog F C Clubhouse or Dylan 07900512345 25/09/18 Chwech allan o Chwech / Six of the Best Noson i ddathlu ar Y Traeth heno i’r 2ail Dîm ac yn arbenng i’r streicar Sion Parry. 6 gôl i Port a 6 (ie CHWECH) i Sion Parry. Ar ôl i Port fynd ar y blaen o 2-0 yn fuan, daeth yr ymwelwyr â’r sgôr yn ôl i 3-2. Ond ychwanegodd Port a Sion Parry pedair gôl arall, gan gynnwys un o’r smotyn. i wneud y sgôr t yn 6-2. Sgôr terfynol 6-3. Mae’r record cant y cant yn parhau gyda Port yn cryfhau eu gafael ar frig y Gynghrair. Llongyfarchiadau i Sion Eirian a’r hogiau, ac yn arbennig i Sion Parry, Roedd y noson hefyd yn gyfle i Tomos Emlyn a Dan Roberts gael 90 munud gwerthfawr. Diolch i'r Golygydd Rhydian Morgan am y Trydar. A night of celebration for the Reserves and especially for Sion Parry as he helped the Reserves to a 6th straight win scoring all 6 (SIX) goals in a 6-2 victory over Colwyn Bay Reserves. Port took an early 2-0 lead only for Colwyn Bay to stage a recovery bringing the score back to 3-2.But Port went on to make the game safe as Sion Parry added a further four goals including a penalty to make it 6-2. The final score was 6-3. The game also provided an opportunity for Dan Roberts and Tomos Emlyn to gain a valuable 90 mins. The 100% record remains and means that Port have strengthened their position at the tip of the table. Congratulations to Sion Eirian and his squad and a special congrats to Sion Parry. Thanks to the Match Programme Editor for the updates. 24/09/18 Port v Caergybi / Holyhead 26/9/18 Cychwyn wythnos bwysig i Port wrth i’r clwb chwarae dwy gêm gynghrair. Bydd y gynta’ yn erbyn Caergybi nos Fercher a gêm adre gyda Dinbych i ddilyn pnawn Sadwrn.. Er waetha’r perfformiad o safon a gafwyd yn erbyn Airbus y Sadwrn diwethaf, ni enillwyd unrhyw bwyntiau ac mae’r record ddiweddar yn dangos ein bod wedi codi un pwynt yn unig o’r bedair gêm ddiwethaf. Er fod y ddau wrthwynebydd yn rhan isa’r tabl mae buddugoliaeth neu ddwy yn gallu codi clwb yn sydyn i fyny’r tabl. Ond yn siwr, bydd safon y tîm a safon nifer o berfformiadau unigol y Sadwrn diwethaf yn rhoi dipyn o hyder i’r chwaraewyr, wrth iddynt brofi, eto, ei bod yn medru cystadlu efo goreuon y gynghrair. Gohiriwyd gêm Caergybi pnawn Sadwrn yn Penrhyncoch ond byddant rwan yn edrych am bwyntiau i’w symud allan o’r tri gwaelod. Y tymor hwn mae Dean Garmey wedi symud i sedd y rheolwr gyda Campbell Harrison yn gadael. Un buddugoliaeth gynghrair sydd ganddynt a honno yn dod yn eu gêm ddiwethaf, adre i Prestatyn. Hefyd, cafwyd berfformiad da iawn yn Nantporth i sicrhau pwynt yn erbyn Bangor. Daw’r gêm a ni yn erbyn y cyn chwaraewr Jamie McDaid sydd wedi rhwydo 3 o wyth gôl yr Hotspyrs. Aiff Jay Gibbs a Ryan Taylor i’r cyfeiriad arall gan ddychwelyd i’w cyn glwb. Y tymor dowethaf, pan gyfarfu’r ddau glwb ar yr Ofal Newydd, cafodd yr Hotspyrs fuddugoliaeth glir. Chwaraewyd y gêm mewn tywydd difrifol gyda’r glaw yn chwythu yn llorwedd. Ciolch byth mae’r rhagolygon yn fwy gobeithiol at nos Fercher. Croesi bysedd a C’mon Port!! Port start an important week with two vital fixtures coming up against Holyhead Hotspurs on Wednesday and another home fixture on Saturday with Denbigh Town the visitors. Despite the quality of the performance against league leaders Airbus last Saturday, there were no points to show for it and the recent league record shows just one point gained in four games. Though both of our opponents are in the lower third of the table, a couple of wins and a team can quite quickly move up the table. Last Saturday’s team performance, and several excellent individual performances, will give the players a confidence boost as they have proved, yet again, that they can match the best teams in the HGA. Hotspurs had their game at Penrhyncoch postponed and they will be looking for points to move them out of the bottom three and get their season going. With Darren Garmey taking over as manager from Campbell Harrison the club have won once this season with the only 3 pts coming in their last league outing at home to Prestatyn. Their best performance of the season came however at Nantporth with a hard-fought point against Bangor City. The game will bring us up against former player Jamie McDaid who has netted 3 of Hotspurs 8 goals so far. The game will also take Jay Gibbs and Ryan Taylor in the opposite direction, back to their former club. Last season’s meeting between the two clubs at the New Oval ended in a convincing win for the Hotspurs. The game was played through horizontal rain but if the forecast proves correct we could be in for better weather on Wednesday. Fingers crossed and C’mon Port!! 23/09/18 Ail-dîm adre Nos Fawrth 8pm / Reserves home on Tuesday 8pm. Nos Fawrth nesa (25 Medi) bydd Ail-dîm ifanc Sion Eifion yn edrych i barhau â’r rhediad o 5 buddugoliaeth yn olynol ar ddechrau’r tymor. Yr ymwelwyr â’r Traeth fydd Bae Colwyn a sylwer fod y y gic gyntaf am 8pm. C’mon Port ! On Tuesday evening (25 Sept) at the Traeth Sion Eifion’s Reserves will be looking to further extend their 5 game winning start to the season. The visitors are Colwyn Bay and supporters should note that this game kick’s off at 8pm. 20/09/18 Port v Airbus: Rhagolwg / Preview Noddwyr / Match Sponsors: CARIAD CARE HOMES Pnawn Sadwrn nesa ar Y Traeth, byddwn yn roesawu’r tîm sy’n gosod y safon eleni yn yr HGA. Mae gan Airbus record gant y cant hyd yma, yn ennill bob un o’u chwe gêm, gyda phedair yn cael eu chwarae ar ei tomen eu hunain ar y Maes Awyr. Yn eu dwy gêm ddiwethaf rhoddwyd cweir o 5-0 i Gresffordd ac i ddilyn yn curo Bangor 3-2 gan rhwystro ymdrech yr ‘Ayes’ i frwydro ‘nol. Hefyd. maent wedi sicrhau buddugoliaeth o 4-0 dros Treffynnon i fynd yn eu blaen yng Nghwpan Huws Gray. Dim syndod felly fod eu rheolwr Steve O’Shaughnessy wedi’i enwi yn rheolwr y mis am Awst yn yr HGA. Mae O’Shaughnessy yn ddeilydd y drwydded hyfforddi broffesiynol ac yn gyn reolwr Caernarfon, Cefn Druids a Chei Conna. Un o’r newydd ddyfodiaid allweddol i Brychdyn dros yr haf oedd Asa Hamilton cyn ffefryn ar y Traeth. Ers symud o Gegidfa mae wedi sgorio 5 o goliau cynghrair yn barod ond cafodd anaf drwg y Sadwrn diwthaf. Cryfhawyd eu carfan ymhellach drwy arwyddo tri o gyn chwaraewyr Llandudno; Leo Riley, Lewis Buckley a’r golwr Dave Roberts. Port enillodd y gêm gyfatebol llynedd ar Y Traeth, a hynny o 2-1 gyda Joe Chaplin yn rhwydo ddwywaith. Ond stori pur wahanol oedd y gêm rhwng y ddau glwb draw ym Mhrychdyn gyda Port yn diodde’ cweir go-iawn o 6-0. Gyda’r atgofion yn dal i fod yn dipyn o hunlle’ tybed a wnaiff fod yn ddigon o sbardun i Port dargedu record berffaith ein gwrthwynebwyr? Cawn weld. C’mon Port! On Saturday brings the HGA’s front runners to the Traeth. Airbus have a 100% record so far this season winning all of their six games, four of which have been played on their home 4G stomping ground at the Airfield. Their last two home league wins have seen them overcome Gresford by 5-0 and survive a Bangor City recovery to win 3-2.They have also progressed in the Huws Gray Cup with a convincing 4-0 home win over Holywell Town. It was no surprise therefore that their manager, Steve O’Shaughnessy, was named Manager of the Month for August in the HGA .A UEFA pro-licensed coach who previously managed Caernarfon Town Cefn Druids and Connah’s Quay. One of O’Shaughnessy’s key summer signings was former Traeth favourite Asa Hamilton. Asa is their leading scorer, netting five times in the league since joining from Guilsfield. Unfortunately however he suffered a bad injury last Saturday. Their squad has been seriously strengthened over the summer and amongst them are three former Llandudno players, Leo Riley, Lewis Buckley and keeper Dave Roberts. In last season’s corresponding fixture at the Traeth, Port ran out winners by 2-1 with Joe Chaplin scoring both goals. The return fixture over at Broughton proved to be somewhat different as Airbus stormed to a big win, scoring six times without reply. It was by far Port’s worst performance of the season and still provides nightmare memories. It should however be enough of an incentive to wind ourselves up for a tilt at our opponents perfect record.C’mon Port. 19/09/18 Gemau 2ail Dîm / Reserves Fixtures Isod gweler gemau nesa’r Ail-Dîm Cynghrair Ail-dimau Nos Fawrth, Medi 25: Port v Bae Colwyn 8pm Cwpan Tân Gwyllt Lock Stock Nos Fawrth Hydref 2: Port v Llanrwst 7.30pm Cynghrair Ail-Dimau Nos Wener 12 Hydref: Port v Conwy 7.30pm Below are the up and coming Reserves fixtures Reserve League Tuesday September 25th: Port v Colwyn Bay 8pm. The games will be played on Saturday the 6th October. It willbe another double-header. Dinbych / Denbigh v Airbus Caergybi / Holyhead v Rhuthun Porthmadog v Conwy Prestatyn v Bangor 14/09/18 Dal yn gant y cant / Reserves go marching On Buddugoliaeth wych eto heno, i’r Ail-Dîm mewn gêm rhwng y ddau glwb ar y brig draw ar Gae Canol Dre’, Dinbych. Sgôr Terfynol Dinbych 1-3 Port. Goliau gan Rhys Hughes 55’, Sion Parry 72’, Cai Henshaw 88’ Canlyniad heno yn ei cadw ar frig y tabl gyda 15 pwynt ar ôl 5 buddugoliaeth yn olynol. Bydd yr hogia’ yn ôl ar y Traeth ar Nos Fawrth, Medi 25ain yn erbyn Bae Colwyn. Cic gyntaf 8pm. A great win for the Reserves tonight at Central Park in the top of the table clash with Denbigh Town Res. Final Score: Denbigh 1-3 Port. Goals from Rhys Hughes 55’, Sion Parrt 72’, Cai Henshaw 66’ They top the table with 15 points from five straight wins. They will be back at the Traeth on Tuesday September 25th against Colwyn Bay with an 8pm kick off. 13/09/18 Port v Bwcle / Buckley Bydd yna doriad o gemau cynghrai ri bob un o’r 16 o glybiau y penwythnos hwn er mwyn chwarae Rownd 1af Cwpan Huws Gray. Bydd Bwcle yn teithio I’r Traeth a hwn fydd ail ran o gemau gefn wrth gefn rhwng y ddau glwb. Mae’n rhaid bydd y clwb o Sir y Fflint yn teithio’n hyderus yn dilyn eu buddugoliaeth pnawn Sadwrn ac hefyd yn dilyn ennill 3 o’u 4 gêm ddiwethaf. Daw chwaraewyr fel Chris Robets, Adam Eden a Phil Mholyneux a digonedd o brofiad i;r garfan ac yn sicr bu hyn yn gymorth wrth iddynt sicrhau’r 3 pwynt. Bydd carfan Port yn ymwybodol iawn fod y perfformiad y Sadwrn diwethaf yn dipyn is na’r disgwyl a bydd angen codi gêm os ydym am fynd ymlaen yn y gystadleuaeth hon, cystadleuaeth ‘da ni heb ddisgleirio ynddi yn ddiweddar.. Mae’n arwyddocaol efallai mai amddiffynwr sef Gruff John gyda 2 gôl i’w ein prif sgoriwr ac mae bod heb Joe Chaplin a Julian Williams wedi gadael twll mawr i’w lenwi. Rhyngddynt gwnaeth y ddau gyfrannu 39 o goliau y tymor diwethaf ond mae’r sefyllfa yn gyfle i rhywun arall gamu fyny i lanw’r bwlch. Amdani pnawn Sadwrn, C’mon Port! HGA clubs take a break from League football this weekend when all 16 clubs will be playing Huws Gray Cup Round 1 fixtures. Buckley Town will travel to the Traeth for part two of a double-header buoyed by a win over Port at Globe Way last Saturday. They will travel with confidence having now won three of their last four games. Players like Chris Roberts, Adam Eden and Phil Molyneux provide huge experience and this helped the Globe Way club to gain the 3 points last Saturday. Port will know that last Saturday’s performance was well below par and a improvement will be needed if they are to progress to the 2nd Round of the competition, a competition where success has been absent now for several seasons. It is significant that Gruff John, a defender, with two goals is the leading scorer and it has certainly not helped to be without Joe Chaplin and Julian Williams. The two forwards provided 39 goals between them last season and that leaves quite a hole to fill. But it also represents a chance for someone else to take the opportunity to step up. Back to winning ways C’mon Port! 11/09/18 Gêm Fawr yr Ail-dîm / Reserves Big Match Bydd y ddau ar y brig yn mynd ben ben amdani nos Wener (14 Medi, 7.30pm) pan fydd yr AiL-dîm yn teithio i Barc Canol Dre Dinbych. Mae gan y ddau glwb record cant y cant gyda Port wedi chwarae 4 gêm a Dinbych 3 gêm. Yn barod mor gynnar yn y tymor gall hon fod yn gêm allweddol bydd angen i’r hogiau dynnu ar yr un penderfyniad a sicrhaodd fuddugoliaeth dynn iddynt dros Llanrug yr wythnos ddiwethaf. Pob lwc hogia’! C’mon Port! The top two in the 14-club Reserve League go head to head on Friday (14 September. 7.30 pm) when the Reserves travel to Central Park Denbigh. Both clubs have 100% records with Port having played 4 games to Denbigh’s 3 games. Already at this early stage in the season this will be a key fixture and Port will need to draw on the same kind of determination which gained them a hard earned victory over Llanrug United last week. Good luck lads! C’mon Port! 04/09/18 Bwcle / Buckley v Port: 8/9/18 Mae pob gêm yn yr HGA eleni yn mynd yn gynyddol anodd i’w ddarogan. Mae’r canlyniadau hyd yma wedi bod yn rhai cymysg iawn, gymaint felly nes ei bod yn anodd iawn i wybod pwy fydd y ceffylau blaen erbyn bydd pethau yn dechrau setlo. Mae perfformiadau Bangor, y ffefrynnau yn ennill ond un pwynt o'r naw olaf, yn cymylu pethau ymhellach. Port hefyd ond yn ennill un pwynt o’r ddwy gêm ddiwethaf. Mae’n siwr fydd y clwb a orffennodd yn 2ail yn UGC llynedd yn dechrau perfformio yn fwy cyson gyda hyn. Canlyniadau cymysg ydy hanes Bwcle -ein gwrthwynebwyr pnawn Sadwrn- hefyd. Ennill dwy a cholli tair yw eu record hyd yma. Cychwynnwyd y tymor drwy golli’n drwm o 5-1 draw yn Nantporth ond hefyd cawsant fuddugoliaeth glir o 3-0 dros Gresffordd a’r Sadwrn diwethaf buddugoliaeth o 4-0 dros Prestatyn. Felly mae rhagweld y math o berfformiad i’w ddisgwyl ar y Globe Way ymhell o fod yn hawdd. Bydd Port yn awyddus i wneud yn iawn ar ôl colli eu record ddi-guro y Sadwrn diwethaf, Yn wir bu pnawn Sadwrn yn anodd gyda Julian Williams yn cael anaf drwg a fydd yn ei gadw allan am 6-8 wythnos. Gyda Joe Chaplin yn dal heb gyrraedd ffitrwydd llawn y tymor hwn, mae’n gadael Port yn wan o ran niferoedd yn y blaen. Ond bydd Port yn edrych i daro ‘nol ar ôl siom y penwythnos diwethaf ac ail ddarganfod y math o safon â sicrhaodd tair buddugoliaeth yn olynol i gychwyn y tymor. Felly amdani. C’mon Port! Every game in the HGA is becomimg increasingly unpredictable. Results. so far. are so mixed it remains unclear which clubs we can expect to form the league front runners. The performances of favourites Bangor City, winning just one point out of a possible nine, has further muddied the waters but surely a club which finished 2nd in the WPL last season will get into their stride. sooner rather than later. Port with similar mixed form have picked up one point in their last two games. Buckley Town, our opponents on Saturday, have also had mixed results winning two and losing three. They started the season with a heavy 5-1 defeat at Bangor but gained a convincing 3-0 win over Gresford Athletic and last Saturday put four past Prestatyn without reply. So the game at Globe Way on Saturday will be another where predicting the strength of the opposition is not easy. Port will be smarting after losing their unbeaten record last weekend and indeed last Saturday was not a good day all round, with Julian Williams suffering an injury which puts him out for 6-8 weeks. With Joe Chaplin still looking fo get back to full fitness it leaves Port with depleted options at the front. But Port will be looking to return to the kind of form and quality play which gave them three straight wins to start off the season! So go for it C’mon Port! 04/09/18 AIL-DÎM YN ENNILL ETO / RES CONTINUE WINNING RUN Parhau a’u record ddi-guro wnaeth yr Ail-dîm heno ar Y Traeth, yn curo Llanberis o 2-1 gan ymestyn y rhediad i 4 buddugoliaeth. Mae hyn yn cadarnhau eu safle ar frig y tabl. Heno bu’n rhaid brwydro ‘nol wedi’u Llanberis fynd ar y blaen ar ^ôl 33 munud gyda Owain Jones yn sgorio. Ond 3 munud yn ddiweddarach daeth Port yn gyfartal gyda Aaron Hughes yn rhwydo. Roedd yn dal yn gyfartal ar yr egwyl ond daeth y gôl holl bwysig ar ôl 75 munud gyda Rhys Hughes yn sgorio. Meddai yr hyfforddwr Sion Eifion, "Noson anodd ar Y Traeth heno ond yr hogiau yn dangos cymeriad ac yn ennill y 3 phwynt yn y diwedd! Ymlaen i'r nesa." Bydd y gêm nesa oddi cartref yn erbyn Dinbych ar nos Wener, 14 Medi a’r gêm nesa ar Y Traeth ar nos Fawrth 25 Medi. Da Iawn hogia’! C'mon Port! The Reserves continued their winning run gaining 2-1 over Llanberis Res tonight at the Traeth. Port retain their 100% record after 4 games and consolidated their position on top of the table. Tonight, however they had to come from behind to gain the victory. On 33 minutes Llanberis went ahead the goal coming from Owain Jones but within three minutes Port drew level thanks to Aaron Hughes That is how the score remained at the interval but the all-important winner came after 75minutes with Rhys Hughes hitting the net. Coach Sion Eifion said, “Tough night at the Traeth but great character from the boys to earn the 3 points in the end! On to the next one!” The next game will be away at Denbigh on Friday 14th September and the next home game will be against Colwyn Bay on Tuesday 25th September. Great lads! C’mon Port! 02/09/18 Dymuniadau gorau i Julian / Best wishes Julian Cadarnhawyd heddiw fod Julian Williams wedi torri pont ei ysgwydd. Bu’n rhaid i Julian adael y cae rhyw 20 munud fewn i’r gêm yn erbyn Y Rhyl pnawn Sadwrn. Yn dilyn yr anaf, aeth i Ysbyty Gwynedd lle cadarnhawyd ofnau pawb. Ar ran y cwb dymunodd Craig Papirnyk y gorau i Julian am ei wellhad. Ychwanegodd Craig. “Bydd Julian allan am 6-8 qythnos, yn dod a diflastod pellach at y perfformiad siomedig a gafwyd gennym." Gyda Joe Chaplin hefyd allan ar hyn o bryd mae anaf anffodus Julian yn gadael y clwb â phroblem yn y blaenwyr. . It has been confirmed that Julian Williams has broken his collar bone. Julian had to leave the pitch some 20 minutes into Saturday’s game with Rhyl FC. He was then taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd where the extent of his injury was unfortunately cohfirmed. On behalf of the club, Manager Craig Papirnyk extended his best wishes to Julian for his recovery. Craig added, “He’ll be out for 6-8 weeks now. further misery added to what was a very disappointing performance from us.“ With last season’s top scorer Joe Chaplin out at present, Julian’s unfortunate injury leaves the club with something of a striker problem. 01/09/18 Ail-dîm ar y Brig /Reserves go Top Mae’r Ail-dm wedi symud i frig yr adran ar wahaniaeth goliau yn dilyn buddugoliaeth wych o 4-1 yn Llandyrnog hediw. Unwaith eto roedd Sion Parry yn y goliau, yn rhwydo dwy gyda Dylan Reece a Cai Henshaw hefyd yn sgorio. Ardderchog hogia’!! Llongyfarchiadau i Kai Williams, 16 oed yn chwarae ei gêm gynta heddiw. Cofiwch fod yr hogiau yn chwarae eu gêm nesaf nos Fawrth nesaf ar Y Traeth yn erbyn Llanberis. Cic gynta’ am 7.40pm. Cefnogwch yr hogia’. C;mon Port! The Reserves go top of the Reserves Division on goal difference following an impressive 4-1 win away today at Llandyrnog. Once again Sion Parry was among the goals with another brace and the others to find the net were Dylam Reece and Cai Henshaw. Well done lads! Well done also to 16 year-old Kai Williams making his debut today. Remember the Reserves are home next Tuesday to Llanberis at the Traeth Kick off 7,30. Support the lads. C’mon Port! |
