Cawsant gychwyn anodd i’r tymor yn dilyn sicrhau dyrchafiad o gynghrair ardal Wrecsam y tymor diwetha’. Fel Port, ni gafodd Corwen fuddugoliaeth yn ystod Awst a Medi ond wedyn cafwyd buddugoliaeth dda oddi cartref yng Nghonwy ar 16ed Hydref. Bydd y ddau glwb yn edrych i adeiladu ar fuddugoliaethau er mwyn troi’r tymor a dianc o’r safleoedd ar y gwaelod, a hynny mor fuan a phosib. Mae mis Hydref wedi bod yn fis tipyn gwell i Port yn sicrhau dwy fuddugoliaeth yn y gynghrair ac un gêm gyfartal a hefyd llwyddiant yng Nghwpan Cymru. Mae 4 gêm ddi-guro yn rhediad i adeiladu arno. Y tro diwetha’ i Port chwarae Corwen mewn gêm gystadleuol oedd nôl yn 1999/2000 pan dreuliodd y clwb o Sir Ddinbych dymor yn y Cymru Alliance. Tymor anodd bu hwnnw, a gwnaeth Port y dwbl drostynt. Roedd y gemau hynny yn gofiadwy am i Viv Williams rhwydo hatric draw yng Nghorwen a dwy gôl arall yn eu herbyn ar y Traeth. Yn ddiweddar gadawodd Danny Jellicoe a Tommy Mutton y clwb a cymrodd Nick Jones drosodd yn rheolwr dros dro. Erbyn hyn apwyntiwyd cyn is-reolwr Port, Sion Tudor i’r swydd. Mae carfan Corwen hefyd yn cynnwys Eilir Edrwrds, Dale Davies a Joe Williams, tri o gyn chwaraewyr Port. Port will be at home again on Saturday for another significant fixture in the battle to climb the league. Corwen will be the visitors and they have had a difficult time after securing promotion to the Cymru North from the Wrexham area Welsh National League. Like Port they were without a win in August and September but then chalked up a good win away at Conwy on October 16th. Both clubs will be looking to build on victories to turn around their season and escape from the relegation spots as soon as possible. Port have found some form in October with two league wins and a draw to go with last Tuesday’s Welsh Cup win. A 4-match unbeaten run is a change in fortunes which they will seek to continue. The last time the two clubs met in a competitive match was back in 1999/2000 when Corwen spent a season in the Cymru Alliance. That proved to be a very tough season for the Denbighshire club with Port completing a double over them. The games were notable for a Viv Williams hat-trick in the away win, followed by a brace at the Traeth. The club have recently parted with their management team of Danny Jellicoe and Tommy Mutton. Nick Jones took temporary charge of the team but their new man in charge is former Port assistant manager Sion Tudor. His Corwen squad contains former Port players; Eilir Edwards, Dale Davies and Joe Williams. See you Saturday. C’mon Port!! 30/10/19 Cwpan Ieuenctid Cymru Round 2 / FAW Youth Cup Round 2 Bydd tîm Ieuenctid Port yn chwarae eu gêm yn 2ail Rownd Cwpan Ieuenctid yn erbyn Y Drenewydd pnawn Sul nesa (3ydd Tachwedd). CANLYNIAD: Port 0-5 Y Drenewydd The Port Youth team will play their tie in the 2nd Round of the FAW Youth Cup against Newtown, on Sunday (3rd November). Er y bydd yn chwarae i Bwllheli, bydd yn dal i ymarfer efo ni bob wythnos gan ein bod yn teimlo fod hynny’n bwysig i’w ddatblygiad. Mae’n golwr ifanc talentog gyda dyfodol ardderchog o’i flaen ond rydym yn teimlo mai dyma’r symudiad cywir iddo yn y tymor byr. Morgan has joined Pwllheli until the end of the season to get some much needed minutes and further experience. Although playing for Pwllheli, he will continue to train with us every week as we feel that's important for his development. He's a talented young goalkeeper with a fantastic future ahead of him but we feel this is the right move for him in the short term. 21/10/19 Ail-drefnu gêm Llanberis / Llanberis match rescheduled Mae wedi'i gadarnhau y bydd ein gêm yng Nghwpan Cymru yn erbyn Llanberis yn cael ei chwarae dydd Sadwrn nesa (26ain) am 2pm ar faes Ffordd Padarn. Siomedig ond fawr o syndod yn dilyn y dilyw!! Today’s Cup-tie at Llanberis has been postponed. Disappointing but not surprising given the heavy rain. 18/10/19 Gohirio Gêm yr Ail Dîm Heno / Tonight's Reserve Fixture Postponed Mae gêm ddarbi'r ail dîm heno yn erbyn ail dîm Pwllheli wedi cael ei gohirio yn dilyn glaw trwm. The reserves' derby match tonight against Pwllheli reserves has been called off after heavy rain. 17/10/19 Cwpan JD Cymru Rownd 1 / JD Welsh Cup Round 1 KO 2pm Bydd ein sylw yn troi at rhamant y Gwpan pnawn Sadwrn. Byddwn yn cymryd y daith fer i Ffordd Padarn, cartre’ CPD Llanberis, ar gyfer Rownd 1 Cwpan JD Cymru. Hwn fydd y tro cynta’ am 27 mlynedd i’r ddau glwb gyfarfod mewn gêm gystadleuol. Rhaid mynd yn ôl at dymor 1991/92 am y gêm honno ar 7fed Medi 1991. Gêm yng Nghwpan Cymru oedd honno hefyd. Port oedd yn fuddugol y tro yna o 2-1 ac yn sicrhau lle yn yr 2ail Rownd. Sgoriwyd goliau Port gan Stuart Williams a Geraint ‘Siops’ Jones. Diddorol nodi mae Locomotif Llanberis oedd enw’r clwb ar yr adeg honno! Ar ôl ennill, aeth Port allan yn yr 2ail rownd, yn colli o 3-1 ar Ffordd Farrar yn erbyn Bangor. Clwb yn Adran 1 y Welsh Alliance ydy Llanberis ac ar hyn o bryd maent yn union yng nghanol y tabl yn yr 8fed safle yn ennill 4 gêm ac wedi colli 4 gêm.Cyrhaeddodd Llanberis y rownd hon drwy guro Llanelwy o 3-1. Bu cryn gysylltiad rhwng clwb Llanberis a Port yn y cyfnod pan oedd dau o hoelion wyth pêl-droed y Darans, Colin a Terry Saynor, yn chwarae dros Port. Mae gemau cwpan yn wahanol ac mae’n beryg ceisio eu darogan ond gall Port fynd i’r gêm hon mewn dipyn gwell hwyliau yn dilyn tair gêm heb golli gyda 7 pwynt wedi’u codi. C’mon Port!! Diolch i Gerallt Owen am y ffeithiau hanesyddol. Our attention now turns to the romance of the Cup and on Saturday Port will make the short journey to Ffordd Padarn, the home of CPD Llanberis, for Round One of the JD Welsh Cup. This will be the first competitive meeting between the two for 27 years. We have to go back to season 1991/92 for that game, the 7th September 1991. That too was a Welsh Cup Round One tie and Port ran out winners by 2-1 to gain a place in the 2nd Round. The scorers for Port were Stuart Williams and Geraint ‘Shops’ Jones. Interesting to note that the club was then known as Locomotive Llanberis! For the record Port went out in the 2nd Round losing 3-1 at Ffarrar Road. Llanberis play in Division One of the Welsh Alliance and currently lie bang in mid-table iin 8th place having won 4 games and lost 4. They reached the 1st Round by beating St Asaph 3-1 in the previous round. A strong connection exists between the two clubs with Darans legends, Colin and Terry Saynor having also played for Port. Cup ties are unpredictable and different but Port will take heart from a revival of fortunes, unbeaten in 3 games, picking up 7 points in the process. C’mon Port!! Thanks to Gerallt Owen for the historcal info. 16/10/19 Ail-dîm yn croesawu Pwllheli / Reserves home on Friday Bydd gan yr Ail-dîm gêm nos Wener, pan fydd Ail-dîm Pwllheli yn ymweld â’r Traeth am gêm Gynghrair. Cefnogwch yr hogia’ wrth iddynt geisio parhau a’u rhediad da yn y gynghrair. Bydd y gic gynta’ am 7,30pm. The Reserves will be in action on Friday when Pwllheli Res will be the visitors to the Traeth for a League fixture. Support the lads as they look to continue their run of league victories. Kick off 7.30pm. 15/10/19 Cydymdeimlad / Condolences Fel clwb, anfonwn ein cydymdeimladau dwysaf i ddau o hoelion wyth y clwb - Phil Jones, ein Cadeirydd a’i frawd, Rich ar golli ei mam yn gynnar bore ma. Roedd hi’n 91 oed. As a club, we send our deepest condolences to our Chairman, Phil Jones & his brother, Rich following the loss of their mother earlier this morning. She was 91 years old. 14/10/19 Cant Tommie / Tommie’s Century Grêt i fod yn Stadium Dinas Caerdydd neithiwr i weld Cymru yn cael gêm gyfartal gyda Croatia ond gwych hefyd gweld Tommie Collins yn cael cydnabyddiaeth yno ar ei record arbennig yn cwblhau ei ganfed taith yn dilyn Cymru i gemau oddi cartref. Cwblhawyd y cant yn Trvana wythnos ddiwetha’ yn gweld Cymru yn chwarae Slofacia. Moment o falchder i Tommie ac i’w deulu a'i ffrindiau. Grêt hefyd oedd ei weld ar y sgriniau mawr yn y Stadium!! Great to be at the Cardiff City Stadium last night to see Wales get a 1-1 draw with Croatia and to to see and hear Tommie Collins being recognised for his amazing record of 100 away days following Wales worldwide. The 100th came when he followed Wales to Trnava last week for the game against Slovakia. A proud moment for Tommie and for his family and friends. Great to see him on the big screens at the Stadium!! 14/10/19 Draw Wythnosol 41 / Weekly Draw 41 Enillydd y "Draw Wythnosol" am wythnos 41 yw Rhif 88 IAN JONES yn ennill gwobr o £75!!! Hon oedd ei 200fed gêm mewn crys Port. Ymunodd â Port am y tro cyntaf yn nhymor 2009/10 gyda’r clwb yn dal yn yr Uwch Gynghrair. Wedyn, yn dilyn cyfnod yn Seland Newydd dychwelodd i’r Traeth yn 2012 gan chwarae i’r clwb yn y Cymru Alliance, a rwan yn y Cymru North. Mae wedi rhoi gwasanaeth gwych i’r clwb, yn chwaraewr canol cae llawn sgil a creadigrwydd ac yn fwy diweddar yn amddiffynnwr canol. Yn wir roedd ei berfformiad yn Llanfair yn gwbl nodweddiadol ohono yn cyfeirio’r gem o’r cefn ac wedyn, pan ddaeth y pwysedd a’r panig tuag at y diwedd, cadw ei ben a gweld Port drwodd at y triphwynt. Cyflwynwyd potel o bybls i Ceri cyn y gêm gyda swyddogion y clwb, Clive Hague a Rob Bennett yn gwneud ydyletswydd hapus. Diolch Ceri. The visit to Llanfair on Saturday marked a special day for Ceri James as it was his 200th appearance in a Port shirt. First joined Port in season 2009/10 while the club was in the WPL. Then following a spell in New Zealand, he returned to the club in 2012 playing in the Cymru Alliance and now the Cymru North. He has given the club tremendous service as a highly skilled, creative midfielder and latterly as a central defender. The game at Llanfair was another typical Ceri James performance, directing operations from the back and, when the pressure was on towards the end he kept his cool to see the game through. Ceri was presented with a bottle of bubbly ahead of the game. Club officers Clive Hague and Rob Bennett performed the happy duty. Thanks Ceri. 12/10/19 Penrhyncoch ar y Traeth / Penrhyncoch at home Noddwyr / Match Sponsors: TANRONNEN INN BEDDGELERT CPD Penrhyncoch fydd yr ymwelwyr nesa’ â’r Traeth ar nos Fawrth nesa’ 15 Hydref gyda’r gic gynta’ am 7.30pm. Llynedd llwyddodd y clwb o’r canolbarth i osgoi disgyn o drwch blewyn mewn diweddglo cyffrous aeth i’r diwrnod ola’r tymor.Y tymor hwn mae’r clwb wedi manteisio ar y ddihangfa honno drwy achosi dipyn o sioc gyda’i canlyniadau cadarnhaol. Bu clwb Cae Baker bob amser yn anodd i’w curo adra’ neu oddi cartra’ ond llynedd llwyddodd Port wneud y dwbl drostynt yn y Cymru Alliance.. Y tro yma mae’r cyfan yn wahanol iawn gyda Penrhyncoch yn hedfan yn uchel yn y 6ed safle ac yn ennill 6 o’u 10 gêm. Y Sadwrn diwetha’ dod o’r tu ôl i guro Bwcle o 2-1. Cawsant hefyd fuddugoliaethau dros Llanrhaeadr, Gresffordd a Bae Colwyn a gêm gyfartal ddi-sgôr ar y Belle Vue. Bydd y canlyniadau yma yn rhoi hyder i Penrhyn wrth deithio i’r Traeth. Yn eu carfan yn dal i fod, mae’r enwau cyfarwydd profiadol fel Jon Foligno, Sion ac Owain James ac Antonio Corbisiero. Daeth cyfnod hir di-ffrwyth Port i ben gyda buddugoliaethau gefn wrth gefn a bydd hyn yn rhoi hyder ifddynt at y sialems nos Fawrth. Gwelwyd arwyddion o hyn pnawn Sadwrn gyda chwarae celfydd yn creu digon o gyfleoedd. Cam arall sydd angem bellach, ydy cymryd cyfartaledd uwch o rhain. C’mon Port!! Penrhyncoch will be the next visitors to the Traeth for a midweek fixture next Tuesday 15th October with a 7.30pm kick off. The mid-Wales club narrowly escaped relegation last season, retaining their place on the last day of the season in a rousing finale. This season Penrhyncoch have certainly capitalised on their great escape to get off to a flying start to the season. The Roosters have always been a hard nut to crack both home and away but in the Cymru Alliance last season Port performed the double over the Roosters. But this time it will be a very different story with Penrhyncoch flying high in 6th place, having won 6 of their 10 games. Last Saturday they came from behind to record a 2-1 win over Buckley, They also have wins over Colwyn Bay, Llanrhaeadr and Gresford and have also held Rhyl to a goalless draw at the Belle Vue. All of this will give Gari Lewis’s squad plenty of confidence as they travel to the Traeth.
