Craig Papirnyk takes a very positive look at how pre-season is developing It has been a great to have football back albeit without supporters, we have been Training since early May and the lads have been putting in the work leading up to the friendly games, the squad is starting to shape up and more will be revealed in time, the Traeth has had a lot of work and credit to the hard working volunteers for this, putting in so much work through a pandemic is undoutedbly an amazing achievement by all thoes invloved and i hope the supporters are happy when they are finally allowed back in and see the improvements at the ground. To date we have played and beaten Llanrhaeder 2-0 , Menai Tigers 5-1, Llangefni 3-1 and Rhyl 1879 3-1 and i have been pleased with how the lads have performed and the results have all been positive which even in friendly games is important, we have been able to rotate players so that they are not being overloaded so early on during pre-season which will help with injury prevention but at the same time ensuring the players are getting the maximum output during these games. I have particularly been impressed with some of the reserve lads who have come in and done extremely well, took on the information we ask of them and given the quality needed during some of these games. We are rebuilding a team and all of the boys so far have come in and taken on board how we want to play and what are objectives are for the coming season. I am very pleased with how we are looking at this stage in pre-season, We are half way through now with the league date nearing closer we will start to progress more with the intensity and quality that will ensure we are fully ready for the season start date on July 31st. We have had a number of new faces come in and all will be revealed in time, my message to the supporters is that we cant wait to get you back at the Traeth and we are looking good for the season ahead. There is no doubt about how tough the season ahead is going to be and we are certainly making sure we are ready for the challenges ahead, our preparations to date have been very good, however we will always look to improve and set high Standards in everything we do as a Group.
