Diolch i LLANRUG UNITED am gytuno i chwarae’r gêm a felly sicrhau amser ar y cae i’r garfan mewn cyfnod lle nad oes gêm rhwng y 1af & 18fed Hydref. Craig Papirnyk has arranged a friendly fixture for next WEDNESDAY, 12th OCTOBER at the Traeth. Kick off 7.30pm. The club thanks LLANRUG UNITED for agreeing to play this fixture which provides the Port squad with game time during a period when there are no games between 1st & 18th of October. 03/10/22 Penwythnos y Cymru North / Cymru North Weekend Roedd yn benwythnos gwych i Port gan fod y fuddugoliaeth fawr dros Llandudno wedi ei codi i’r 4ydd safle a chanlyniadau pnawn Sadwrn wedyn, yn eu ffafrio i’w cadw yn 4ydd.,br> Roedd gôl Rhys Alun (llun) gyda chynorthwy Meilir Williams yn ddigon i sicrhau y 3 phwynt a wedyn cafywd perfformiad tîm i gadw’r llechen yn lân. Dim ond 3pt sydd rhyngddynt â Llandudno sy’n 3ydd. Mae’r tabl cyfredol yn dangos mor gystadleuol ydy’r Cymru North gyda 5 clwb ar 13 phwynt ac yn edrych fel ‘tae’n bosib i unrhyw un guro unrhyw un ar ddiwrnod da. Bae Colwyn sy’n dal ar y brig ond mae Treffynnon, gwrthwynebwyr nesa’ Port, bellach fyny i’r ail safle. Ar y gwaelod mae Gresffordd sydd heb ennill gêm ers eu buddugoliaeth ar y Traeth ar gychwyn y tymor It was a great weekend for Port as a big win over Llandudno enabled them to move up to 4th spot in the table and with Saturday’s results going in their favour they remain 4th. A goal from Rhys Alun (inset), with the help of Meilir Williams’ assist, was enough to secure all three points and a great all round performance secured the clean sheet. They are now just 3pts adrift of Llandudno in 3rd place. The current table shows the league at its most competitive with 5 clubs on 13pts and it appears that anyone could beat anyone on a good day. Colwyn Bay have maintained their strong challenge and sit in top spot but Port’s next league opponents, Holywell, are now up to 2nd. At the bottom end of the table are Gresford whose only win to date came at the Traeth in the opening legue fixture 03/10/22 Cwpan y Gynghrair GGC / WBS League Cup Bydd y gêm yn Ail Rownd Cwpan y Gynghrair GGC yn mynd yn ei blaen ar nos Fawrth 18 hYdref wedi’r cyfan. Cafodd ei newid ar AP Cymru Football mewn camgymeriad. The 2nd Round of the WBS League cup will go ahead on Tuesday 18 October after all. It was apparently changed in error on the Cymru Football AP 28/09/22 LLANDUDNO TOWN: NOS WENER / FRIDAY 7.30pm @MAESDU Yn dilyn ‘mlaen o’r pwynt a sicrhawyd mewn gêm agos gyda Hotspyrs Caergybi bydd gêm arall i’r clwb Nos Wener oddi cartref y tro yma yn Maesdu Llandudno. (LL30 1HH). Bydd hon yn un arall anodd yn erbyn un o geffylau blaen yr adran. Mae eu carfan yn cael eu rheoli gan Sean Eardley ac yn cynnwys nifer o enwau cyfarwydd i ddilynwyr Port: Telor Williams, Julian Williams a Joe Chaplin. Mae clwb yr arfordir yn yr ail safle yn y tabl, 3 phwynt tu ôl eu cymdogion o Fae Colwyn. Gosododd y gêm rhwng y ddau y safon i dorfeydd yn y Cymru North gyda 1,500 ar Faesdu ar gyfer gêm gynta’r tymor. Ers hynny cafodd nifer o glybiau torfeydd parchus iawn sydd yn glod i safon y CN. Mae Llanduno wedi ennill 5 o’u 7 gêm gynghrair gyda’r unig golled yn dod ym erbyn Bwcle. Roedd y pwynt yn erbyn Caergybi yn ddigon i symud Port fyny i’r 7fed safle a byddant rwan yn edrych i godi pwyntiau i gadarnhau eu lle yn hanner ucha’r tabl. Roedd yn dda gweld Nathan Williams yn ôl nos Wener yn cymryd ei gyfle i rhwydo o un arall o groesiadau cywir Ifan Emlyn (llun). Amdani Port!! Following on from last Friday’s hard-fought point against Holyhead there will be another Friday fixture for the club, this time away at Maesdu, Llandudno. (LL30 1HH). This will be another tough one against one of the Cymru North’s promotion front runners. The squad, managed by Sean Eardley, contains several names familiar to Port followers: Telor Williams, Julian Williams and Joe Chaplin. The north coast club lie in 2nd spot in the table, 3pts adrift of near neighbours Colwyn Bay and the game between these two clubs kicked off the Cymru North season with a bumper 1500 crowd, to set the trend for good crowds at many CN clubs this season. Llandudno have won 5 of their 7 league games this term with the only defeat coming at Buckley. The point at home to Holyhead was enough to move Port into the 7th place and now they must look to continue picking up points to consolidate a top half placement. It was good to see Nathan Williams back taking his goal opportunity from another Ifan Emlyn (inset) assist. C’mon Port !! 24/09/22 Newidiadau i’r Rhestr Gemau / Fixture updates Mae AP CYMRU FOOTBALL yn dangos newidiadau i rhestr gemau Port. Bydd y gêm Cwpan y Gynghrair Gwasanaeth Gwaed Cynmru yn erbyn Y WYDDGRUG ar Barc Alyn bellach yn cael ei chwarae ar NOS FAWRTH 18fed HYDREF Bydd y gêm yn RHUTHUN a gafodd ei gohirio yn cael ei chwarae ar NOS WENER 11eg TACHWEDD Mae’r rhestr gemau ar y wefan yn dangos y newidiadau yma. The CYMRU FOOTBALL APP shows the following changes to Port fixtures. The WBS League Cup-tie against MOLD ALEX at Alyn Park will now be played on TUESDAY 18th OCTOBER. The postponed away fixture at RUTHiN will now be played on FRIDAY 11th NOVEMBER The Fixture list on the website has now been updated to show these changes 23/09/22 Gwobrau Chwarae Teg CBDC / FAW Fair-play Awards Bydd Gwobrau Chwarae Teg CBDC yn cael eu cyflwyno yn ystod y gêm rhwng Cymru a Gwlad Pwyl nos Sul nesa’ yn Stadium Dinas Caerdydd. Bydd y rheolwr Craig Papirnyk a’r Is-rheolwr Ben Ogilvy yn derbyn y wobr ar ran y clwb. Roedd yn gamp ddisgybledig yn mynd drwy dymor cyfan heb dderbyn yr un cerdyn Coch ac mae’r chwaraewyr a’r Tîm Rheoli yn haeddu pob clod. The FAW FAIR-PLAY awards will be made at the Cymru v Poland Nations League international at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday. Manager Craig Papirnyk and Assistant Manager Ben Ogilvy will be at the match and will receive the award on behalf of the club. It was some disciplinary achievement going through an entire season without receiving a Red Card and players and management deserve our congratulations. 23/09/22 Tri o Port yn y Tîm Rhanbarthol / Port three named in UEFA REGIONS squad. Enwyd tri o chwaraewyr Port, Rhys Alun, Meilir Williams a Callum Parry, gan Guy Handscombe yng Ngharfan Rhanbarthol y Cymru North a fydd yn chwarae am Gwpan Rhanbarthol UEFA. Bydd y gemau yn cael eu chwarae yng Nghogledd yr Iwerddon ym mis Hydref, Bydd tîm Guy Handscombe yn chwarae gêm gynta’r grwp yn erbyn rhanbarth Dywreiniol Gogledd Iwerddon ar Llun, 10 Hydref a wedyn Zlin o Weriniaeth Czech tridiau yn hwyrach gan orffen y rownd o gemau yn erbyn Gothenburg o Sweden ar Sul Hydref 16. Mae’r garfan yn cynnwys chwaraewyr sydd heb chwarae yn y JD Cymru Premier ac heb fod yn chwaraewyr proffesiynol. Llongyfarchiadau a phob lwc i Rhys, Meilir a Callum. Three Port players, Rhys Alun, Meilir Williams and Callum Parry have been named by Guy Handscpmbe in the Cymru North squad for the UEFA Regions’ Cup intermediate round which will be played in Northern Ireland in October. Handscombe's side kick off the intermediate round against Northern Ireland's Eastern Region on Monday 10th October and then take on Zlín of the Czech Republic three days later. They conclude the intermediate round against Swedish side Gothenburg on Sunday 16th October. The squad is made up of players who have never played in the JD Cymru Premier and never been a professional. Congratulations and best of luck Rhys, Meilir and Callum. 22/09/22 PÊL-DROED NOS WENER / FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL 7.30pm Noddwr / Match Sponsor Er cof am / In Memory of MEIRION PARRY Daw Hotspyrs Caergybi i’r Traeth ar gyfer gêm Nos Wener gyda’r gic gynta am 7.30pm. Bydd y gystadleuaeth Môn/Gwynedd yn siwr o wneud hon yn gêm arall ddigon anodd. Hyd yma mae’r Hotspyrs wedi chwarae 5 gêm gynghrair ,un yn llai na Port, ac wedi sicrhau cyfartaledd o un pwynt am bob gêm, Daeth eu hunig fuddugoliaeth hyd yma dros Bwcle ond gêm Cwpan y Gynghrair oedd eu gêm ola’ a cawsant fuddugoliaeth ysgubol o 4-1 dros Prestatyn gyda chwaraewr sydd yn gyfarwydd iawn i gefnogwyr Port, sef Jay Gibbs (llun chwith), yn rhwydo ddwywaith. Tair gêm mewn wythnos i Port, a’r garfan chwarae yn eu hail gêm mewn 48 awr. Roedd tair gôl dda i Port yn erbyn y Derwyddon gan gynnwys gôl gynta’ ers dychwelyd i Cai Jones (llun de). Cafodd Port 3 phwynt gwerthfawr yn eu gêm gynghrair ddiwetha’ gyda Prestatyn ac, yn dilyn dwy gêm gwpan, bydd yn gyfle i adeiladu ar y canlyniad er mwyn sefydlu eu hunain yn hanner ucha’r tabl. . C’mon Port!! Football on Friday night brings Holyhead Hotspurs to the Traeth with a 7,30pm kick off. The Môn/Gwynedd rivalry will ensure another tough fixture. The Hotspurs have played 5 league fixtures, one less than Port, and have picked up an average of a point a game. Their only league victory came against Buckley Town but their last outing was a thumping 4-1 victory over Prestatyn Town with Jay Gibbs (inset left), who needs no introduction to Port supporters, scoring twice. The games are coming thick and fast for Port with the squad being asked to play their second game in 48 hours. There were 3 quality goals on Wednesday, against the Druids, including Cai Jones (inset right) getting his 1st since his return. Their last league fixture brought a valuable 3 points from the win over Prestatyn Town and, following the diversion of two Cup fixtures, will be looking to build on this result and establish a footing in the top half of the table. ,br. C’mon Port11 19/09/22 Gostwng Prisiau mynediad / Reduction in Admission Prices Bydd gostyngiad mewn prisiau mynediad ar gyfer gêm Cwpan y Gynghrair GGC R1 nos Fercher, erbyn Derwyddon Cefn. Oedolion - £3 Dinesydd Hýn - £2 Plant 12-16 - £1 There will be a reduction in admission prices for Wednesday evening's WBS League Cup R1 match against Cefn Druids. Adults £3 Senior Citizens £2 Children 12-16 £1 19/09/22 Cwpan WBS Y Gynghrair / WBS League Cup Noddwr y gêm /Match Sponsor:JOHNSONS HOTEL LINEN Bydd yna gyfle cynnar i ysgwyd ffwrdd peth o siom y golled pnawn Sadwrn yn Rownd 1af Cwpan Cymru JD pan fydd Derwyddon Cefn yn dod i’r Traeth ar gyfer Rownd 1af Cwpan y Gynghrair sy’n cael ei noddi gan Wasanaethau Gwaed Cymru. Bydd y gic gynta’ am 8 o’r gloch. Er y siom o golli ar ôl bod ar y blaen o 2-0 a 3-1 pnawn Sadwrn, roedd yna ddigon o agweddau positif i’w cymryd o’r perfformiad. Roedd yna gyflymder a chreadigrwydd Alex Boss (llun0 yn rhwydo ddwywaith tra Meilir Wiliams oedd yn gyfrifol am y creu i’r ddwy. Yn yr hanner awr cynta’ cafwyd pêl-droed cyffrous ond yn y diwedd roedd chwarae corfforol Y Wyddgrug o giciau gosod yn ormod i Port. Bydd llawer yn dibynnu ar anafiadau wedi i Craig Papirnyk orfod eilyddio tri ar hanner amser. Yn sicr roedd yn golled i fod heb yr amddiffynnwr cadarn Iddon Price pan oedd Port dan bwysau yn yr ail hanner. Gyda dwy gêm mewn tridiau i’w chwarae bydd hyn yn siwr o effeithio dewis y tîm. Doedd y Derwyddon ddim yn rhan o gemau Cwpan pnawn Sadwrn ond yn y Gynghrair mae ganddynt 2 fuddugoliaeth o’u 7 gêm. Buddugoliaethau dros Rhuthun a Hotspyrs Caergybi ond yn colli yn drwm yn erbyn ceffylau blaen yr adran. Amdani Port !! Port get an early opportunity to shake off the disappointment of the exit from the JD Welsh Cup as they take on Cefn Druids in the First Round of the League Cup which is sponsored by Welsh Blood Services. Kick off will be at 8 pm. Though a big disappointment to lose after being 2-0 and 3-1 up on Saturday, there are many pluses to be taken from the performance. There was the pace and inventiveness of Alex Boss (inset), who netted twice, while the assist for both goals came from Meilir Williams. The first half hour was full of great attacking football but in the end they were undone by Mold’s physicality which they put to good use at set pieces. Much will depend now on injuries, with Craig Papirnyk forced to make three changes at half-time resulting from knocks received. Clearly top defender Iddon Price was missed when the going got tough in the 2nd period on Saturday. Selection will also need to take into consideration the League fixture on Friday The Druids were not involved in Saturday’s cup-ties but in the League they have won 2 of their 7 fixtures. Victories came over Ruthin and Holyhead Hotspurs while they have suffered heavy defeats against the Cymru North’s front runners. C’mon Port!! 19/09/22 Casgliad cancr plant / Children with cancer Cafwyd ymgyrch arbennig gan un o gefnogwyr selocaf y clwb yn ystod y gêm ar Y Traeth pnawn Sadwrn. Diolch i Hywel Evans a gariodd ei fwced o gwmpas y cae yn ystod y gêm yn gwahodd cefnogwyr i gyfrannu at elusen i blant yn diodde’ o’r cancr. Ymatebodd selogion y Traeth a chasglwyd swm anrhydeddus a £183.50 One of the club’s faithful followers, Hywel Evans, made a special personal effort to raise money to support children with cancer. He carried his bucket around the pitch inviting supporters to contribute. The Traeth faithful responded and a total of £183.50 was collected for the charity. 18/09/22 MORGAN JONES: Chwaraewr mis Awst / August Player of the month Morgan Jones oedd dewis y cefnogwyr yn Chwaraewr y Mis am fis Awst. Ers ail ymuno gyda’r clwb yn yr haf mae Morgan wedi rhoi cyfres o berfformiadau arbennig. Nid oedd cymryd drosodd wrth Paul Pritchard yn mynd i fod yn dasg hawdd ond mae Morgan wedi creu dipyn o argraff gyda’i rheolaeth o ardal y gôl a gwneud nifer o arbedion cofiadwy. Llongyfarchiadau Morgan. Keeper Morgan Jones has been voted Player of the Month for August by supporters. Since returning to the club in the summer Morgan has put in a series of impressive performances. Taking over from Paul Prichard was quite a challenge but Morgan has created quite an impression, controlling his area and pulling off some outstanding saves. Congratulations Morgan 16/09/22 CWPAN CYMRU JD / JD WELSH CUP Rd 1 Noddwyr / Match Sponsors: Cyfreithwyr GAMLINS Solicitors Diwrnod y Gwpan pnawn Sadwrn, pan fydd clwb Y Wyddgrug yn dod i’r Traeth ar gyfer Rownd 1 Cwpan Cymru JD 2022/23. Mae Port wedi cyrraedd y 3edd rownd sawl tro yn ddiweddar ond rhaid edrych yn ôl i 2013/14 am rediad sylweddol pan gyrhaeddodd y clwb rownd yr wyrh ola’. Yn ddigon diddorol yn y gystadleuaeth hon llynedd, aeth y ddau glwb allan yn erbyn Bwcle; Y Wyddgrug yn y Rownd 1af a Port yn ei dilyn yn Rownd 2. Gall rhediad da yng Nghwpan Cymru rhoi dipyn o wmff i dymor a bydd Port a’r Wyddgrug yn anelu i gychwyn ar y daith hon pnawn Sadwrn. It’s Up for the Cup time at the Traeth on Saturday when Mold Alex are the visitors for Round 1 of the 2022/23 competition. Port have reached the 3rd Round in several recent seasons but tor the last significant Port success we need to look back to the 2013/14 season when the club reached the Quarter-final of the competition. Interestingly last season both Mold and Port were put out of the competition at Buckley; Mold in Round 1 and Port suffering the same fate in Round 2. A good Welsh Cup run can lift a club’s season and both Port and Mold will be looking to start along this road on Saturday. 12/09/22 Cwpan y Gynghrair WBS: Rownd 2 / WBS League Cup: Round 2 Mae'r enwau wedi dod o'r het ar gyfer rownd nesaf Cwpan y Gynghrair. Os bydd Port yn llwyddiannus yn erbyn Derwyddon Cefn nos Fercher nesaf, y wobr fydd taith i'r Wyddgrug yn yr ail rownd. Bydd y gemau'n cael eu chwarae ar benwythnos 15 Hydref The draw has been made for the next round of the League Cup. If Port are successful against Cefn Druids next Wednesday evening, the reward will be a trip to face Mold Alex in the second round. The matches will be played on the weekend of 15 October 12/09/22 Tair Gêm ar y Traeth / Three fixtures at the Traeth Bydd gêmau yn ail-gychwyn pnawn Sadwrn pan fydd Rownd 1 Cwpan Cymru JD yn erbyn Y Wyddgrug ar Y Traeth, gyda’r gic gynta’ am 2;30pm. Ar nos Fercher 21 Medi, eto ar Y Traeth, bydd gêm Cwpan WBS y Gynghrair yn erbyn Derwyddon Cefn gyda’r gic gynta’ am 8 o’r gloch. Wedyn nos Wener, 23 Medi, bydd yna gêm Gynghrair y Cymru North gyda Hotspyrs Caergybi yn ymweld a’r Traeth, gyda’r gic gynta am 7.30pm. Fixtures will resume on Saturday when Mold Alex will visit the Traeth for Round 1 of the JD WELSH CUP with a 2.30pm kick off. On Wednesday 21st September Cefn Druids will be the visitors for the re-arranged WBS League Cup-tie with an 8pm kick off. Two days later Friday, 23rd September it will be back to the Cymru North when Holyhead Hotspurs are the visitors with the kick off at 7.30pm 09/09/22 Gohirio gêm Rhuthun / Ruthin match postponed. Mae'r Gymdeithas Bêl-droed wedi cyhoeddi fod pob gêm i gael eu gohirio ar bob lefel y penwythnos hwn: The Football Association of Wales has announced that all matches on all levels of the game are to be postponed this weekend: "The Football Association of Wales can confirm that this weekend's fixtures (9-12 September) at all levels of the game will be postponed as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II." 07/09/22 Taith i Ruthun nos Wener / Away at Ruthin on Friday 7.30pm. Nos Wener bydd Port yn teithio i Gaeau’r Memorial Fields, Heol y Parc LL15 1PH i chwarae Rhuthun pan fydd y gic gynta’ am 7,30pm. Mae’r ddau glwb wedi chwarae eu gilydd yng Nghwpan Nathaniel MG gyda Rhuthun yn sicrhau buddugolaieth gyfforddus o 4-1. Ers hynny mae’r clwb o Sir Ddinbych wedi colli 4 o’u 7 gêm cynghrair ac yn y 10 fed safle yn y tabl gyda 7 pwynt o 7 gêm. Ond y tymor diwetha’ roedd Rhuthun yn gorffen yn y 5ed safle yn Cymru North JD. O adnabod y talent sydd gan y clwb gellir fod yn siwr fydd hon eto yn gem anodd. Yn y JD Cymru North does dim gemau hawdd. Ond bydd Port yn anelu i wella’n sylweddol ers y gêm ym mis Gorffennaf. Bydd buddugoliaeth neithiwr dros Prestatyn yn codi’r hyder ac roedd yn dda hefyd gweld Callum Parry yn parhau a’i gychwyn da ac yn rhwydo ei 4ydd gôl. C’mon Port!! On Friday Port will travel to the Memorial Fields, Park Road LL15 1PH to take on Ruthin Town with a 7.30pm kick off. The two clubs have already faced each other in the Nathaniel MG Cup with Ruthin gaining a comfortable 4-1 win. Since then the Denbighshire club have lost 4 of their 7 league fixtures. Last night they shared the points with Penrhyncoch in a 1-1 result. They have played a game more than Port and lie in 10th place with 7 pts from their 7 games. But last season Ruthin finished an impressive 5th in the JD North table. Given the talent at their disposal they will provide yet another tough challenge in a league with no easy games. Port will however hope to see a vast improvement on the July meeting between the two clubs. Last night’s win over Prestatyn gives a boost to confidence and it was good to see Callum Parry maintaining his good start with his 4th goal of the season. C’mon Port!! 04/09/22 PRESTATYN: Pêl-droed nos Fawrth / Tuesday night Football 7.45pm Noddwyr y Gêm / Match Sponsors: Tanronnen Inn, Beddgelert Bu’n gychwyn tymor digon rhyfedd i Port. Mae’n fis Medi a dim ond un gêm sydd wedi bod ar y Traeth y tymor hwn. A’r tymor gwyliau yn pasio heibio dylai’r A55 fod yn rhydd o broblemau i fws Prestatyn gyrraedd mewn da bryd i gychwn am 7.45pm nos Fawrth. Pnawn Sadwrn aeth Prestatyn allan o’r Gwpan yn colli 4-1 yn Caergybi. Yn y Gynghrair bydd Prestatyn, fel Port, yn chwarae eu 6ed gêm o’r tymor ac yn y 5ed safle yn y tabl gyda 3 buddugoliaeth ac un gêm gyfartal. Daeth honno yn erbyn Llanidloes sydd wedi achosi ambell sioc hyd yma. Yn erbyn Bwcle oedd yr unig gêm gynghrair iddynt golli. Ar Wyl y Banc cawsant fuddugoliaeth o 5-0, adre dros Penrhyncoch. Mae eu record yn awgrymu gêm anodd arall, gyda Port angen y pwyntiau ar ôl colli ddwywaith ar y ffordd yn Bae Colwyn a’r Waun. Roedd y golled yn y Waun yn arbennig o siomedig, yn colli pwynt posib i gôl hwyr iawn. Gobeithio, wrth i Craig Papirnyk fedru rhoi ei dîm cryfa ar y cae yn rheolaidd, bydd y canlyniadau yn adlewyrchu’r perfformiadau addawol. C’mon Port!! A rather strange start to the season for Port. It is September and we have played just once at home. Hopefully there will be no hold-ups on the A55 on Tuesday evening and our opponents Prestatyn will arrive in good time for the 7.45pm kick off. The visitors went down 4-1 in their Cup-tie at Holyhead on Saturday. In the league, Prestatyn, like Port, will be playing their 6th fixture of the season and find themselves in 5th spot in the table with 3 wins and a draw at home to surprise package Llanidloes. Their only defeat came at home to Buckley. In their last outing, on Bank Holiday Monday, they scored five without reply at home to Penrhyncoch. This record suggests another difficult one for Port who need three points after straight defeats at Colwyn Bay and Chirk. The defeat at Chirk was particularly disappointing conceding a point to a late, late goal for the second time this season. Let’s hope that being able to put a full strength team on the pitch on a regular basis, results will match overall performances. C’mon Port!! 04/09/22 CYMRU NORTH: Gêm Gyfeillgar / Friendly Roedd carfan y Cymru North yn parhau gyda’u paratoadau at Cwpan Rhanbarthau UEFA gyda ail gêm gyfeillgar yn erbyn amaturiaid Gweriniaeth Iwerddon ddoe ym Mae Colwyn. Rheolwr y tîm oedd Guy Handscombe a’r garfan yn cynnwys Callum Parry, Rhys Alun a Meilir Williams. Canlyniad y gêm oedd buddugoliaeth arall i’r Weriniaeth y tro yma o 2-0. The Cymru North squad, managed by Guy Handscombe and including Rhys Alun, Meilir Williams and Callum Parry, continued their preparation for the UEFA Regions Cup with another friendly game against the amateurs of the Republic of Ireland at Colwyn Bay on Saturday. The game resulted in a second victory, this time by 2-0, for the Republic representatives. 01/09/22 Dim Pêl-droed y penwythnos yma / No Football this weekend Bydd yna ddim pêl-droed i Port dros y penwythnos gan fod y gêm Cwpan Cynghrair Haen 2 gyda Derwyddon Cefn wedi’i gohirio. Yn wreiddiol roedd y ddau glwb i gyfarfod nos Wener (2 Medi) ond roedd Y Derwyddon methu teithio i Porthmadog am gêm ar nos Wener. Bydd y gêm PORT V DERWYDDON CEFN yn cael ei chwarae ar NOS FERCHER 21 MEDI gyda'r gic gynta am 8 o'r gloch. Pnawn Sadwrn bydd 12 o glybiau y Cymru North yn chwarae eu gemau yn Rownd 1 y gystadleuaeth. Bellach bydd y gystadleuaeth newydd hon yn cael ei hadnabod yn swyddogol fel CWPAN WBS y GYNGHRAIR gan fod y gystadleuaeth i’w noddi gan Wasanaeth Gwaed Cymru (WELSH BLOOD SERVICE). Pob lwc i dri o chwaraewyr Port fydd yn chwarae y Sadwrn yma sef Meilir Williams, Callum Parry a Rhys Alun. Bydd y tri yn rhan o garfan y Cymru North a fydd yn chwarae Amaturiaid Gweriniaeth Iwerddon mewn gêm gyfeillgar ar gae Ffordd Llanelian, Bae Colwyn. Port will not be in action this weekend as their Tier 2 Cup-tie at home to Cefn Druids has been postponed. Originally the two clubs were due to meet tomorrow night (Sept 2nd) but the Druids were unable to travel to Porthmadog for a Friday night game. The game PORT V CEFN DRUIDS has now been re-arranged for WEDNESDAY, 21st SEPTEMBER kick off 8pm 12 other Cymru North clubs will play their First Round ties this coming Saturday. The Tier 2 competition is to be officially known as the WBS LEAGUE CUP as the competition will be sponsored by the WELSH BLOOD SERVICE. Best of luck to three Port players who will see action this weekend. Meilir Williams, Rhys Alun and Callum Parry will be part of the Cymru North squad that take on the Republic of Ireland Amateur squad in a friendly fixture to be played at Llanelian Road, Colwyn Bay. 31/08/22 Pêl-droed Gwyl y Banc / Bank Holiday Weekend Penwythnos prysur o bêl-droed gyda’r mwyafrif yn chwarae ddwy waith. Siom ddwbl i Port gyda gêm nos Wener yn cael ei gohirio ar y funud ola’ a pwynt yn cael ei gipio gan Y Waun yn yr amser ychwanegol. Siom arbennig i Nathan Williams yn sgorio ei gôl gynta’ i’r clwb gyda peniad yn yr hanner cynta’ Trwy’r gynghrair mae’n profi’n dymor cystadleuol iawn. Ond ar y brig bellach mae’r ffefrynnau Bae Colwyn tra fod sialens Llandudno wedi diodde wrth golli yn Mwcle a wedyn y 3ydd Bwcle yn colli i Treffynnon, clwb sydd wedi gweld adfywiad yn eu canlyniadau ar ôl cychwyn siomedig. Prif sgorwyr y penwythnos oedd Prestatyn gyda 5 gôl yn erbyn Penrhyncoch a Prestatyn fydd gwrthwynebwyr nesa’ Port. Y clwb sy’n synnu llawer ydy Llanidloes, yn cipio 6-phwynt dros y penwythnos a bellach yn y 5ed safle. Ar waelod y tabl mae Conwy sydd yn dal i geisio’r fuddugoliaeth gynta’. A busy weekend of football with two games lined up for most clubs. For Port it was a disappointing weekend with the Friday match being postponed and the Monday game at Chirk, seeing a point snatched away in added time. It was especially disappointing for Nathan Williams whose header had put Port ahead late in the first half. It was Nathan’s first goal since joining the club. Throughout, it is proving to be a very competitive league. At the top now are promotion favourites Colwyn Bay but elsewhere challengers Llandudno lost at Buckley, a club whose challenge was also halted by a revived Holywell Town. Monday’s top scorers, with a 5-goal win over Penrhyncoch, were Prestatyn who will be Port’s next opponents. But surprise package Llanidloes Town boosted their points tally with a 6-point weekend, bringing them up to 5th spot. At the wrong end of the table are Conwy Borough still looking for their first win of the season. 28/08/22 Y WAUN ar Llun y Banc / CHIRK on Bank Holiday Monday (LL14 5NA) Dydd Llun bydd Port yn teithio i Holyhead Road, Y WAUN, LL14 5NA i chwarae’r clwb a sicrhaodd ddyrchafiad yn bencampwyr yr Ardal NE y tymor diwetha’. Hyd yma y tymor hwn, mae clwb Y Waun heb sicrhau buddugolaieth, ond camgymeriad fyddai darllen gormod i’r ffaith honno. Hefyd mae angen nodi fod y clwb, ar wahân i’r ddwy gôl a ildiwyd i Lanidloes, heb ildio mwy na un gôl mewn un o’u gemau eraill a hyn yn cynnwys gêm gyfartal 1-1 gyda Cegidfa. Nos Wener ddiwetha’ cawsant gêm reit fywiog yn ôl pob golwg, yn Penrhyncoch, gyda’r tîm cartref yn codi 5 cerdyn melyn ac un coch. Cafodd pedwar o’r Waun hefyd gardiau melyn yn ogystal a dwy gic o’r smotyn gan fethu un a wedyn Louie Middlehurst yn sicrhau gêm gyfartal gyda’r llall. Y cyfan yn y record felly yn awgrymu fod yna amddiffyn cadarn i’w dorri pnawn Llun. . Bydd Port felly angen bod ar eu gorau os am ychwanegu at eu pwyntiau. Roedd yn siom gorfod gohirio’r gem gyda’r Wyddgrug mewn amgylchiadau trist ar noson berffaith am gêm, a gyda torf fawr wedi troi allan. Ond mae’r gêm ar Wyl y Banc yn rhoi’r cyfle i ddychwelyd i’r cae yn reit sydyn gan beithio adeiladu ar yr ysbryd a’r safon a welwyd ym Mae Colwyn On Monday Port travel to Holyhead Road, Chirk, LL14 5NA to take on the club promoted as champions of the Ardal North East last season. . Chirk AAA are yet to win a league fixture but it woild be a mistake to read too much into that fact. As well, we should note that a look at their record tells us that apart from two goals conceded against Llanidloes they have not conceded more than one goal in any other game and that nicludes a 1-1 draw at home to Guilsfield. Last Friday they appear to have had a lively encounter at Penrhyncoch, with the Roosters picking up 5 yellow cards and one red,.while Chirk picked up four yellows and were awarded two penalties ; one they missed and the other, by Louie Middlehurst, earned them their point. All of this points to a strong defence which will take some breaking down. .. Port will, once again, need to be at their best if they are to add to their current points record. It was a disappointing to have the game against Mold postponed in sad circumstances especially on a fine night for football with a great crowd having turned out. But the Bank Holiday fixture provides a quick return to action and an opportunity to build on the spirit and quality shown at Colwyn Bay.. 26/08/22 Gohirio Gêm / Game Postponed Arweiniodd damwain ddifrifol ar yr A55 heno at ataliad mawr yn y traffig gyda bws Y Wyddgrug wedi ei ddal yn y canol. Felly bu’n rhaid gohirio’r gêm rhwng Port a'r Wyddgrug heno. Er fod torf dda wedi dod i’r Traeth ar noson braf mae ein, meddyliau gyda’r rhai a dioddefodd yn y ddamwain. A serious accident on the A55 which resulted in long traffic delays led to the postponement of tonight’s fixture between Port and Mold Alex. Though a large crowd had gathered on a fine evening for football our thoughts are with those who were involved in the incident. 24/08/22 Tri yng ngharfan CYMRU NORTH / Three in UEFA REGIONS Cymru squad Mae tri o chwaraewyr Port wedi’u dewis yng ngharfan y Cymru North sydd i chwarae ail gêm gyfeillgar gyda Gweriniaeth Iwerddon. Y tri yw Callum Parry, Rhys Alun a Meilir Williams. Chwaraeodd Rhys a Callum yn y gêm gyfatebol yn Cork. Mae Meilir hefyd wedi cynrychioli y Cymru North o’r blaen, gan iddo chwarae yn Ffeinal Cymru yn erbyn y Cymru South. Bydd y gêm yn cael ei chwarae ar gae Ffordd Llanelian, Bae Colwyn ar Sadwrn 3ydd o fis Medi. Llongyfarchiadau i’r tri. Three Port players have been selected in the Cymru North squad to play a friendly return fixture with the Republic of Ireland. The three are Callum Parry, Rhys Alun and Meilir Williams. Rhys and Callum played in the previous fixture in Cork. Meilir has also previously represented the Cymru North, playing in the Wales final between Cymru North and Cymru South. The game will be played at Colwyn Bay’s, Llanelian Road Ground, on Saturday 3rd September. Congratulations to all three of our players. 24/08/22 PÊL-DROED NOS WENER / FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL 7.30pm Nos Wener byddwn yn croesawu’r Wyddgrug I’r Traeth gyda’r gic gynta’ am 7.30pm. Bydd y ddau glwb a sicrhaodd ddyrchafiad yn cyfarfod ar y lefel uwch, gyda’r ddau wedi cychwyn y tymor yn dda. Y tymor diwetha’ Y Wyddgrug a gafodd y gorau ohoni yn gwneud y dwbl dros Port. Ar ôl colli’n drwm i Gegidfa yn eu gêm gynta’ mae’r clwb o Sir Y Fflint wedi ennill tair yn olynol gyda buddugoliaethau dros Gresffordd, Llanidloes a Penrhyncoch. Mae’r canlyniadau yma wedi eu rhoi yn yr 2ail safle yn y tabl. Mae gan Port hefyd fuddugoliaethau dros Llanidloes a Penrhyncoch a dangoswyd yn Y Bae eu bod yn medru bod yn gystadleuol ar y lefel yma. Yn erbyn gwrthwynebwyr o safon roedd Port yn dal yn y gêm tan y munudau ola’, a hynny er waetha’ bod heb eu dau prif sgoriwr. O’r chwe gôl mae’r clwb wedi sgorio y tymor hwn, Callum Parry a Rhys Alun sydd wedi sgorio 5 ohonynt. Ond roedd hwn y berfformiad carfan gyda’r newydd ddyfodiaid Alex Boss a Harri Hughes (llun) yn perfformio’n dda, a Morgan Jones, unwaith eto, yn profi ei ddoniau yn y gôl. Cefnogwch yr hogia’ nos Wener. C’mon Port!! On Friday Port will welcome Mold Alex to the Traeth for a 7.30pm kick off. The two promoted clubs will renew acquaintance with both having made good starts at the higher level. Last season Mold gained the upper hand winning both league encounters. The visitors started their season with a heavy defeat at Guilsfield but since have three straight wins under their belt; over Gresford, Llanidloes and Penrhyncoch. These results have put them in 2nd place in the table. Port, also with wins over Llanidloes and Penrhyncoch, showed at Colwyn Bay that they will be competitive at this level. Against a strong Bay team, they remained in the game until the closing stages and this was achieved without their two main goal-scorers. Of the 6 goals scored so far, Callum Parry and Rhys Alun have netted 5 between them. It was, however, an excellent squad performance with newcomers Alex Boss and Harri Hughes (inset) again showing up well and once again Morgan Jones turned in another excellent performance in goal. Support the lads. C’mon Port!!! 22/08/22 CWPAN JD CYMRU / FAW JD WELSH CUP Rd. 1 CPD PORTHMADOG v Y WYDDGRUG / MOLD ALEX (17/9/22) Daw’r enwau o’r het ar gyfer Rownd 1 Cwpan JD Cymru ar nos Lun. 22 Awst, a bydd yna ddarllediad ar Facebook, You Tube a CBDC Cymru am 8pm. The draw for JD Welsh Cup Round 1 will be broadcast at 8pm on Monday, 22 August across Facebook, YouTube and FAW.Cymru. 21/08/22 Canmoliaeth i‘r Adroddiad / Match Report appreciated Roedd yn dda gweld, ar y Trydar, canmoliaeth ddyladwy i’r adroddiad am gêm pnawn Sadwrn rhwng Bae Colwyn a Port. Daeth un ohonynt o gyfeiriad annisgwyl; wrth ‘Colwyn Bay Norge’, sydd yn disgrifio ei hun yn ‘Llywydd Norwy cefnogwyr Bae Colwyn’. Dyma mae o’n ddweud: “Et helt nydelig kampreferat fra motstanderen Porthmadog. Endte til slutt med en 2-0-seier over dette nyopprykkede laget som nok kommer til å klare seg veldig fint i divisjonen i år.” . I'r rhai ohonoch sydd â’u Norwyeg braidd yn rhydlyd dyma gyfieithiad drwy Google. “Adroddiad gwirioneddol hyfryd gan Porthmadog; y gwrthwynebwyr. Yn y diwedd gorffennodd â buddugoliaeth o 2-0 dros y tîm a sicrhaodd ddyrchafiad a fydd hefyd yn debygol o wneud yn dda iawn yn yr adran y tymor hwn.” Nid hwn oedd yr unig air o ganmoliaeth gan fod cefnogwr arall o’r Bae 'Yellow Fly Design' wedi dangos ei werthfawrogiad. “Am adroddiad grêt, Rwy’n weddol sicr fy mod yn sefyll tu ôl i Treflyn yn ystod y gêm. Roedd yn gwneud nodiadau manwl yn ei lyfr nodiadau. Diolch Treflyn a phob lwc am weddill y tymor.”. Diolch i’r cyfeillion yma am eu geiriau caredig sydd yn dangos fod y gwaith o lunio adroddiad cytbwys a theg yn cael ei werthfawrogi gan un na aeth i’r gêm ac un a oedd wedi bod yn bresennol. It was good to see due praise, on Twitter, for the quality of the match report for Saturday’s game between Colwyn Bay and Porthmadog. One of these came from an unexpected quarter; from ‘Colwyn Bay Norge’ who describes himself as President of the Norwegian Colwyn Bay supporters. This is what he says:- “Et helt nydelig kampreferat fra motstanderen Porthmadog. Endte til slutt med en 2-0-seier over dette nyopprykkede laget som nok kommer til å klare seg veldig fint i divisjonen i år.” Now for those of you whose Norwegian is rather rusty here is the Google translation. “An absolutely beautiful match report from the opponent Porthmadog. Finally ended with a 2-0 win over this newly promoted team who will probably do very well in the division this year.” This was not the only word of praise, as another Bay supporter, Yellow Fly Design, showed his appreciation: “What a great match report. I’m pretty sure that I was stood behind Treflyn during the game. He was making lots of detailed notes in his notebook, diolch Treflyn a phob lwc am weddill y tymor.” Thanks to these friends for their kind words which go to show that the work which goes into a fair balanced report is appreciated by those who were unable to be at a game and also those who were there in person. |
