Port v Aberystwyth 02/01/06 (English) Geiriau: Osian Roberts Yn gyntaf, gadewch imi ar ran y chwaraewyr a’r rheolwyr ddymuno Blwyddyn Newydd Dda a iach ichi i gyd. Ar gychwyn 2006, gadewch inni bwyso a mesur 2005 a cheisio gweld lle rydym wedi cyrraedd erbyn hyn. Mae’r bedair gêm ddiwethaf yn adlewyrchiad o’r tymor hyd yma. Haedda’r hogiau pob canmoliaeth a dderbynion am eu perfformiadau campus adref yn casglu chwe phwynt ac yn sgorio wyth gôl gyda phob unigolyn yn cyfrannu perfformiadau o safon . Ond, yn ddi-gwestiwn, roeddem yn wael yr wythnos ddiwethaf yn Aberystwyth a hyn yn dilyn ein ymweliad â’r Trallwng a oedd, yn ôl pob tebyg, y perfformiad gwaethaf gan dîm Port ers imi ddod yma. Felly rhaid cyfaddef, hyd yma nid ydym wedi bod yn ddigon da. Yn ddiamheuol, mae absenoldeb, dros dro, Ryan Davies a Carl Owen wedi effeithio’n perfformiadau ac yn dangos yn glir gymaint a olyga eu presenoldeb i’r tîm presennol. Er waetha’r anghysondeb, mae Viv a minnau yn bendant o’r farn fod ennill lle yng Nghwpan Cenedlaethol y BBC yn darged realistig inni y tymor hwn. Mae’r hogiau sydd gennym yma yn meddu’r gallu i gyrraedd y nod hwn. Yn ychwanegol at hyn, mae talent ifanc lleol fel Mitch, Matthew ac Yws yn gwneud cyfraniad sylweddol ac mae gennym ddyrnaid arall yn aros eu cyfle. Cefnogwch yr hogiau a daliwch i gredu. Port v Aberystwyth 02/01/06 Words: Osian Roberts Firstly, on behalf of the players and management, may I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year! As we enter 2006, it is a good time to reflect on 2005 and evaluate where we are at this stage. The last four games seem to sum up our season so far. The lads deserved all the credit they received for two scintillating performances at home which reaped six points and eight goals with every individual producing quality performances. However, there is no question that we were poor last week at Aberystwyth, and this followed our visit to Welshpool which was probably the worst display I have seen from a Port side since I have been here. Hence I’ve got to admit that to date we have not been good enough. Needless to say the short term loss of Ryan Davies and Carl Owen recently has affected our performances and demonstrates how much they really mean to the current side. Despite the inconsistency, Viv and I firmly believe that a place in the FAW Premier Cup is still a realistic goal for this season. The lads we have here are more than capable of achieving this goal. Added to this is the fact that young local talent such as Mitch, Matthew and Yws are making a substantial contribution, and we have a handful more waiting for the opportunity. Support the lads back to winning ways. |
