Port v Bangor 17/09/05 (English) Osian Roberts sy’n deud ei ddeud yr wythnos hon. Gyda Viv i ffwrdd ar gwrs, daeth i’m rhan i i’w dweud hi fel y mae hi o’r Fainc yr wythnos hon. Felly dyma ni. Diolch i Jonathan a Mark Carwn gymryd y cyfle i ddiolch i ddau chwaraewr, sydd yn gadael y clwb am resymau tra gwahanol, am eu gwasanaeth yn ystod y tymhorau diweddar . Bydd Jon Peris yn gadael er mwyn cychwyn ar ei gwrs gradd ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd ond byddwn yn dal i’w gofrestru a bydd yn siwr o gyfrannu i’r clwb o bryd i’w gilydd. Mae Mark wedi gadael i ymuno â Chaersws am resymau daearyddol yn unig. Yn ddiweddar, cychwynnodd Eavsie ar swydd newydd ac o ganlyniad mae teithio dwy awr a hanner i’r ymarfer wedi profi’n amhosib felly teimlwn bod ymuno â chlwb sy’n nes at ei gartref yn decach o lawer iddo. Bydd y ddau yn ein gadael gyda phob bendith a dymuniad da. O ganlyniad cawn gyfle i ddenu gwaed newydd i’r clwb er mwyn cryfhau’r garfan –felly cadwch lygad ar y gofod hwn! Y Tymor hyd yma ... Mae ein record hyd yma yn awgrymu mai tîm canol y tabl fyddwn ni yn ein trydydd tymor yn ôl yn Uwch Gynghrair Cymru. Ein amcan cyntaf bob amser fydd osgoi disgyn o’r gynghrair. Unwaith mae hyn wedi’i sicrhau, medrwn wedyn ddechrau meddwl sut i wella ar ein safle y llynedd. Yr unig ffordd i sicrhau hyn yw drwy sgorio mwy o goliau; mae mor syml â hynny. Hyd yn hyn, mae ein perfformiadau wedi plesio ond rhaid gwella o gwmpas a thu fewn i’r bocs. Rhaid troi cyfleoedd yn goliau a dominyddiaeth yn fuddugoliaethau. Dan-21 I gloi, carwn ddymuno’n dda i Steve Williams yn ei rôl newydd yn rheoli y tîm dan-21. Gobeithio fydd y gynghrair yn llwyddiant ac yn cyflawni ei phwrpas o ddatblygu chwaraewyr ifanc ar gyfer y tîm cyntaf. Daliwch i gredu. Port v Bangor 17/09/05 Osian Roberts airs his views this week. With Viv away on a course all week, it has fallen to me to try and fill his boots by supplying the ‘View from the Bench’ article this week, so here goes. Thanks Jonathan and Mark I would like to take this opportunity to thank two players for their services to the club in recent seasons as they leave for very different reasons. Jonathan Peris leaves today to embark on a degree course at Cardiff University although he will still be registered with us and I’m sure will figure from time to time when necessary. Mark Williams has left us to join Caersws for purely geographical reasons. Eavsie has recently started a new job and as a result getting to training two and a half hours away became impossible so we felt it was in his best interest to join a nearby club. Both depart with our blessing and best wishes. As a result, this gives us an opportunity to recruit fresh blood and strengthen -so watch this space! The season so far… Our record thus far seems to suggest that we will be a mid-table side in our third season back in the WP League. Our first aim as always will be to avoid relegation. Once we’ve achieved this we can start thinking about how we can improve on last year’s position. The only way we can do this is to score more goals; it’s as simple as that. Overall performances so far have been pleasing, but our performance in and around the box has to improve. We really must turn chances into goals and supremacy into results. Under-21 Finally, I would like to wish Steve Williams all the best in his role as manager of the Under-21 side. When the league kicks off I hope it will serve its purpose in bringing young players through into the first team. Carry on supporting. | |||
