Porthmadog v Caerfyrddin / Carmarthen 14/03/06 (English) Golwg ar bethau o’r cae sydd wythnos hon gyda’r chwaraewr â’r cyfnod o wasanaeth di-dor hwyaf yn y clwb sef Gareth Caughter -yn ei 7fed tymor fel aelod o’r garfan- yn dweud ei ddweud. Y Tymor Wrth edrych yn ôl ar y gêm yn erbyn Y Drenewydd, teimlaf fod llawer i godi’r galon yn y perfformiad er ein bod yn siomedig iawn i golli pwyntiau oherwydd gôl hwyr. Heb amheuaeth, dyma un o’n perfformiadau gorau yn ystod yr wythnosau diwethaf ac mae’n bwysig rwan inni adeiladu ar hyn a chael rhediad da rhwng rwan a ddiwedd y tymor. Tymor rhyfedd ydy hwn wedi bod ac un rhwystredig iawn hefyd. Yn wahanol i dymhorau blaenorol, ni chawsom yr un rhediad da. Anafiadau ydy’r prif rheswm am hyn. Mae newidiadau cyson wedi bod o wythnos i wythnos ac mae hyn yn ei gwneud yn anodd i’r chwaraewyr ond mae arwyddion o welliant yn ein chwarae a gallwn edrych yn bositif at weddill y tymor hwn ac ymlaen i’r tymor nesaf hefyd. Ar lawer ystyr, cyfnod o newid fu hwn i’r tîm gyda nifer o’r hogiau, a oedd yma pan enillwyd dyrchafiad i Uwch Gynghrair Cymru, bellach wedi gadael ond mae chwaraewyr da iawn wedi arwyddo i’r clwb ac mae’n edrych yn addawol iawn at y dyfodol. Y Dyfodol Rwy’n ymwybodol iawn fod Viv ac Osian yn brysur gynllunio at y tymor nesaf ac wedi bod yn sgwrsio gyda chwaraewyr ynglyn â’u cynlluniau a’u gobeithion. Nid yw hyn yn golygu eu bod wedi rhoi’r gorau i’r amcan o orffen mor uchel â phosib y tymor hwn a dal i anelu am le yn yr wyth uchaf . Uchelgais sy’n dal yn bosib. Richie Owen Rwy’n cymryd y cyfle hwn i sôn am ymadawiad Richie Owen. Roedd yr hogiau i gyd yn drist o weld o’n mynd ac o ddarllen y negeseuon ar y wefan roedd llawer o’r cefnogwyr yn teimlo’r un fath. Ond dyna ni mae’r pethau hyn yn digwydd mewn pêl droed. Rhoddodd Richie wasanaeth da iawn i’r clwb yn ystod ei bum mlynedd yma ac rwy’n siwr fod pawb yn ddiolchgar iawn am yr hyn a gyflawnodd dros y clwb. Mae’n hogyn ardderchog a dymunwn yn dda iddo yng Nghaernarfon -ond dim yn rhy dda wrth reswm! Byddin Les Mae cefnogaeth y ffans yn bwysig mewn gêm a diolch i Byddin Les am ddal i godi twrw tu ôl i’r gôl! Diolch am eich cefnogaeth –mae’n cael ei werthfawrogi. Porthmadog v Carmarthen 14/03/06 This week’s View from the Pitch is by Porthmadog’s longest serving player Gareth Caughter who is now in his 7th successive season in the first team squad. The Season Looking back at the match against Newtown, I think the lads can take a lot of heart from a good performance even though we were bitterly disappointed to concede such a late goal. There is no doubt that this was one of our best performances in recent weeks and it is now important we build on this and have a good run to the end of the season. It has been a strange season and a frustrating one at that. We have not really had a good run as we have had in previous seasons. I think a lot of that is down to injuries. We have struggled to field the same team week in week out which makes it hard for all the players involved, but I do believe we are showing signs of improvement and that we can look positively to the remainder of the current campaign and also into next season. In many ways, it has been a transitional period for the team, a lot of the players who were here when we won promotion back to the Welsh Premier have departed but we have brought in some excellent players this season and it looks very promising for the future. The future I know Osian and Viv are working hard in planning for next year and have been talking to players about their plans and hopes. This is not to say they have given up on this campaign, the players and management are determined to finish as high as possible and are still looking to obtain a top eight finish which is still within our sights. Richie Owen I would like to take this opportunity to mention the departure of Richie Owen. All the lads were sad to see him go and it seems a lot of the fans feel the same way judging from what I have read on the messages on the website. However these things happen in football. Richie was a great servant to the club in his five years here and I am sure that all at the club are grateful for what he did and achieved. He is a great lad and we all wish him well at Caernarfon, but obviously hope that neither he nor they do too well! Barmy Army The crowd getting behind us is important as Les Davies’s Barmy Army behind the goal have done recently. Thanks lads. Thanks for your continued support, it is much appreciated. |
