Port v Caersws 20/11/04 (English)
Campbell Harrison ydy awdur y geiriau yr wythnos hon.
Gêm Rhyl
Oeddech chi yn y Rhyl ganol wythnos i weld gêm o safon uchel ac am 85 munud wnaeth yr hogiau ddal eu tir yn dda. Edrychai fod cic-rhydd wych Gareth Parry a peniad cadarn Marc Williams yn ddigon i roi pwynt inni. Mor greulon a rhwystredig ydy pêl-droed gyda ‘r Rhyl yn gwasgu ac yn sgorio dwy gôl yn yr ychydig amser a oedd yn weddill i gipio’r tri phwynt. Dyna pam, mae’n debyg, mai nhw ydy’r pencampwyr.
Y Garfan
Mae yna gystadleuaeth chwyrn am lefydd yn y tîm gyda phob un yn ddigon tebol i wisgo’r crys. Anodd iawn ydy hi i Viv ac Osian wneud penderfyniadau bob wythnos. Ond nid unarddeg o chwaraewyr ydy CPD Porthmadog ond carfan o ddeunaw sydd â theyrngarwch mawr i’r clwb. Mae’r ysbryd yma yn wych a does dim yn eu digalonni.
Tu ôl i’r Llenni
Adlewyrchir yr ysbryd yma oddi ar y cae hefyd gyda Phil, Ian a Nigel yn sicrhau fod y cae yn ardderchog a hynny wythnos ar ôl wythnos. Mae Ger a Dylan yn creu rhaglen arbennig yn ogystal â rhedeg y siôp ac mae gwefan y clwb yn ffantastig (diolch Cam gol.!!). Gwna’r cefnogwyr eleni wahaniaeth mawr ac mae’n arbennig o dda i glywed yr hogiau ifanc tu ôl i’r gôl yn mynd tu cefn i’r tîm. ‘Roedd yn dda gweld a chlywed y cefnogwyr (gan gynnwys nifer o’r ail-dîm) a deithiodd i’r Rhyl nôs Fawrth.
Welsoch chi Dilwyn?
Calon y clwb ydy Dilwyn Lloyd Parry ond, mae rhai o’r hogiau yn poeni braidd ei fod yn dangos ffafriaeth!! Maent yn sylwi fod crys gôl-geiwdad Rhif 1 Gerard McGuigan yn cael ei smwddio yn berffaith ac wedi ei blygu a’i osod ar ei sêt yn yr ystafell newid. Hefyd, mae Mike Foster wedi clywed sibrydion fod Dilwyn cael ei weld yn gwisgo crys Ged yn Tesco Port. Rhowch wybod inni os ydy’r sibrydion yma’n wir!!
Port v Caersws 20/11/04
This week’s views are by physio. Campbell Harrison.
v Rhyl
Anybody at the Rhyl game in midweek saw a very high standard of football and the boys matched Rhyl for 85 minutes. Gareth Parry’s excellent free-kick met by a bullet header from Mark Williams looked set to give us a point. How cruel and frustrating football can be! Rhyl turned the screw and managed to score two goals in the final few minutes to take all three points. I suppose that’s why they are reigning champions.
The Squad
Competition for places in the team is fierce with every player good enough to wear the shirt. That makes Viv and Osian’s decisions very difficult each week. However, Porthmadog FC are not just a team of eleven players for we have a squad of 18 players who are all committed to the club. The team spirit here is fantastic and we have a never say die attitude (great bouncebackability).
Back-room
This team-spirit is also reflected off the field. Phil, Ian and Nigel produce an excellent pitch week in week out. Ger and Dylan conjure up a great programme and run the shop, and the club’s internet site is fantastic (thanks Cam. ed.!!) The supporters have made a big difference this season and it’s great to see the young lads behind the goal really get behind us. It was great to see and hear the travelling support at Rhyl on Tuesday night which included several reserve team players.
Anyone seen Dilwyn?
Dilwyn Lloyd Parry is the heart of the club, but some of the lads are getting a bit worried about his favouritism. They have noticed that Gerard McGuigan’s No.1 goalkeeper jersey is always beautifully ironed and folded on his seat in the dressing-room. However, Mike Foster has also heard rumours of Dilwyn wearing Ged’s shirt in Tesco’s in Port. Please let us know if these rumours are true!!
