Port v Cei Cona 12/10/05 (English) Geiriau Viv. Canlyniadau Diweddar Nid yw dweud ein bod yn siomedig â chanlyniad ddydd Sadwrn ( yn erbyn Caernarfon) yn dod yn agos ati. Cawsom ein cosbi am ein camgymeriadau ac ein camgymeriadau sydd wedi costio’n ddrud inni eleni. Rym i gyd wedi siomi ein bod allan o’r cystadlaethau cwpan i gyd ond medrwn ganolbwyntio ar y gynghrair fel mae’r hen ystrydeb yn ei ddweud. Rym yn boenus o ymwybodol fod camgymeriadau yn cael eu cosbi ar y lefel yma yn arbennig o’u gwneud yn aml. Rym yn llawer iawn gwell tîm nag mae’r perfformiad yna yn awgrymu a rydym i gyd yn gwybod fod y chwaraewyr yn medru gwneud yn well gan gynnwys y chwaraewyr eu hun. Mae Osian a mi yn credu fod ein patrwm chwarae o 4-3-3 yn fwy positif a heb amheuaeth rym wedi chwarae gêm llawer mwy agored eleni ond heb sgorio’r goliau mae ein chwarae wedi haeddu. Er ein dominyddiaeth o gêmau, rydan ni heb fod yn ddigon penderfynol i fanteisio. Rym wedi gweithio’n galed ar batrwm ein chwarae pan ydym yn ymarfer ond nid yw’r agwedd bositif yma wedi dwyn ffrwyth hyd yn hyn. Nid oes ateb hawdd ac rym yn ymwybodol, pan fo pethau yn mynd yn eich erbyn, rhaid dal ati a gweithio’n galed. Bydd angen inni fod yn dîm anodd i’w guro unwaith eto. Hyd yma eleni, rym heb fedru rhwystro ein gwrthwynebwyr rhag sgorio mewn unrhyw gêm. Dyna oedd ein cryfder y tymor diwethaf. Dim ond naw gêm sydd wedi eu chwarae hyd yma gyda 23 arall i fynd – llawer o amser felly. Cawsom gyfarfod i glirio’r awyr yn dilyn y gêm yn erbyn Caernarfon. Cafodd pawb ddweud eu dweud a gallwn i gyd elwa o hynny. Mae na lawer i weithio arno a dyna fyddwn ni’n ei wneud. Academi Roedd yn dda clywed fod yr Academi wedi cychwyn nos Lun (Tachwedd 7fed) gyda 23 o chwaraewyr yn bresennol a hyn ar noson fudr o wynt mawr a glaw. Cyfarwyddwr newydd yr Academi ydy fy nghyd rheolwr yn Port sef Osian Roberts ac roedd Osian wedi’i blesio gan yr ymateb. Bydd yr Academi yn cyfarfod bob nos Lun am y pum wythnos nesaf cyn cael toriad dros y Nadolig ac wedyn ail ddechrau eto ym mis Ionawr gan fynd ymlaen at y gwanwyn hwyr. Cychwynnwyd tri grŵp oed ddydd Llun sef Dan11, Dan14 a Dan16. Gobeithir ychwanegu fwy o grwpiau oed yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf. Os ydy eich plentyn yn y grwpiau oed uchod ac yn dymuno ymuno â’r academi cysylltwch â Gerallt Owen, gweinyddwr yr academi, ar 07920025338 neu dewch i’r Clwb Chwaraeon nos Lun nesaf. Daliwch i gredu. Port v Connah's Quay 12/10/05 Viv's words. Recent Results It is an understatement to say that we were disappointed with Saturday’s result (against Caernarfon). We were punished for our mistakes and more than once this season it is our mistakes which have cost us matches. We are all upset that we are now out of all cup competitions and, to follow that old cliché, can concentrate on the league. We are painfully aware that at this level mistakes will be punished especially if you make them too often. We are much better than that performance suggests, we all know that the players can do better; they know they can do better. Both Osian and I believe our formation of 4-3-3 is a more positive formation and without a doubt we have played a more expansive game this season but we have not scored the goals that our play has deserved. We have not been ruthless enough when we are on top in games. We have worked hard on our pattern of play in training, but our more positive approach has not borne fruit as we had hoped. There are no short cuts. We are aware that when things are going against you, you have to knuckle down and work hard and get on with it. We need to become hard to beat again. We have not managed a clean sheet yet this season. That was a big strength last season. Only eight games have gone there are 23 more to go – a very long way. A win would do much to change things and get us moving up the table as well. We had a good clear the air meeting after the Caernarfon match. Everyone had their say and there are many positives to take out of that. There are areas we can work on and that is what we will be doing. Academy I was pleased to hear that the Academy began on Monday night with 23 players attending on what was a filthy night of wind and rain. The new Academy Director, my joint manager at Porthmadog, Osian Roberts was pleased with the turnout. The Academy will take place every Monday for the next five weeks and then break for Christmas. It will restart again in January and run until late spring. Three age groups began on Monday namely U12, U14 and U16’s. It is hoped that a further age groups will be added in the weeks ahead. If your child falls into that age group and would like to join the Academy then contact Gerallt Owen, the academy administrator, for further details on 07920025338 or just turn up next Monday evening at Clwb Chwaraeon for 7p.m. Thanks for your continued support. | |||
