Geiriau gan Lee Webber
Gofynnodd Viv i mi a fyddwn yn barod i ysgrifennu’r Sylwadau o’r Fainc yr wythnos hon ond, gan fy mod wedi chwarae ym mhob un ond dwy o’r gêmau eleni, mae’n siŵr y dylid ail enwi’r darn yn Sylwadau o’r Cae. Nid dyma’r tro cyntaf i Viv fy rhoi mewn twll ac nid y tro olaf chwaith mae’n siŵr!

Gêm Cwmbrân
Roedd colli yng Nghwmbrân yn siom. Teimlais ein bod wedi chwarae yn dda iawn yn yr hanner cyntaf ac yn llawn haeddu bod ar y blaen. Ond, ar ôl i Gwmbrân ddod yn gyfartal, aethom i banig braidd gan dueddu i fynd am y bêl hir yn rhy aml. Er hynny, credaf fod yna ddigon o bwyntiau da i ni gymryd o’r gêm.

Y Tymor hyd yma
Mae’r ysbryd ymysg yr hogiau yn dda ond, yn ystod y pythefnos ddiwethaf, buom yn fwy anghyson. Byddai tri phwynt yn rhoi’r hwb angenrheidiol inni fynd ymlaen a sicrhau lle yn y Gwpan Genedlaethol ar gyfer y flwyddyn nesaf. Mae’n hanfodol os yw’r clwb yn mynd i wneud cynnydd. Yn sicr rydym wedi datblygu eleni gan ddechrau gyda rhediad ardderchog a diguro. Bu carfan gyson yn fantais fawr ond yn ddiweddar mae anafiadau a gwaharddiadau wedi ein taro yn ddrwg ac wedi tanseilio ychydig ar y chwarae cyson.

Cwpan y Gynghrair
Uchelgais arall am y tymor ydy cyrraedd ffeinal Cwpan y Gynghrair. Roeddem yn haeddu gêm gyfartal yng Nghaerfyrddin ond mae colli o un gôl yn unig yn sicrhau fod yn dal gennym gyfle da. Byddai’n wych cyrraedd y ffeinal a byddai’n ddiwrnod gwerth chweil i’r cefnogwyr, yn ogystal ag y byddai’n brofiad gwych i’r chwaraewyr gyrraedd rownd derfynol cystadleuaeth genedlaethol. Mae nifer o glybiau bach wedi gwneud yn dda yn y gystadleuaeth yn y gorffennol a does ‘na ddim rheswm inni beidio mynd ymlaen a chyrraedd y ffeinal am y tro cyntaf yn ein hanes.

I gloi –beth sydd ei angen ydy cychwyn rhediad arall gan fyddai ychydig eto o fuddugoliaethau rhwng nawr a diwedd y tymor yn sicrhau diweddglo da inni. Fel Capten, carwn ddiolch i’r cefnogwyr am eu cefnogaeth eleni a hefyd yn y gorffennol gan obeithio y medrwn roi rheswm da i chi weiddi.

Words by Lee Webber
Viv Williams asked me if I would mind doing View from the Bench this week, but as I have played in all but two of our games this season maybe we should rename the column View from the Pitch. This is not the first time Viv has put me on the spot and I dare say it won’t be the last!

Last Week’s game
Last week’s defeat at Cwmbran was a disappointing result. I thought we played very well in the first half and fully deserved to be ahead. However after Cwmbran equalised we panicked a bit and tended to go for the long ball a bit too much. I feel there were plenty of plus points from the game.

The Season so far
The morale amongst the players is sound, but we have tended to be a bit up and down over the past couple of weeks. A nice three points would give us a welcome boost and give us the kick-start necessary to go on and secure a place in the FAW Premier Cup for next season, something which is vital for the club to continue to progress. We have certainly made progress this season. We started so well with a fine unbeaten run. A consistent squad has been a big advantage but the recent injuries and suspensions have hit us badly and unsettled the side.

League Cup
Another ambition for the season is to get into the final of the League Cup. We were well worth a draw at Carmarthen but the 1-0 defeat still gives us a great chance to progress and I really fancy our chances. It would be great to reach the final and would be a great day out for the supporters as well as a great experience for the players to reach a national final of this magnitude. Some of the smaller clubs have done well in the competition in the past so there is no reason why we can’t go on and reach the final for the first time in the club’s history.

Final thought - what is needed now is to start another good run, for a few wins between now and the end of the season would ensure us a good finish. As Captain, I would like to thank all the supporters for your support this season and also in the past and I hope that we can provide you with something to shout about.
