Port v Grange Quins 28/01/06 (English) Paul Roberts Gwnaed llawer yn y wasg ac ar y we ynglyn â sefyllfa Paul Roberts. Dywedwyd ar wefan y Welsh Premier, ein bod wedi rhoi rhybudd 7 niwrnod amdano ond nid yw hyn yn wir gan ei fod ar gytundeb ac felly nid yw’r drefn 7 niwrnod yn berthnasol. Doedd hi ddim cyfrinach ein bod ar ei ôl dros yr haf ond penderfynodd Paul aros ym Mangor ac nid ydym wedi gwneud unrhyw gysylltiad diweddar. Mae’n ymddangos ei fod wedi cadarnhau ei fwriad i aros ym Mangor a gan ei fod ar gytundeb felly y dylai fod. Les Davies Derbyniwyd rhybudd 7 niwrnod am Les Davies oddi wrth Bangor ond gan ei fod ar gytundeb rym wedi dweud wrth rheolwr ac ysgrifennydd Bangor na fyddant yn cael trafod y mater gyda’r chwaraewr. Gobeithio mai hyn fydd diwedd y bennod hon a chaiff Paul a Les ganolbwyntio ar y bel droed. Derbyniodd Les gefnogaeth swnllyd ers ymuno a Port a daeth yn dipyn o arwr i lawer o’r cefnogwyr ifanc sydd â chaneuon a siantiau iddo. Mae hyd yn oed gwefan wedi’i chyflwyno iddo! Ni chafodd Les y math yma o gefnogaeth yn ei glybiau blaenorol. Mae hyn ynghyd â’r awyrgylch yn y clwb wedi dod â’r gorau allan ohono ac rwy’n siwr fod mwy i ddod. A chlybiau ar lefel uwch yn cadw llygad arno, ni fyddem yn ei rwystro ond byddem yn anfodlon iawn i’w weld yn symud i unrhyw glwb yn Uwch Gynghrair Cymru. Cwpan Her Arfordir Gogledd Cymru Fe’m plesiwyd gan berfformiad y tîm nos Fawrth yn erbyn Cei Conna. Gwnaeth yr hogiau i gyd yn dda iawn. Roedd Iwan Thomas yn ardderchog yng nghanol y cae, yn rhoi cant y cant ac yn sgorio gôl arbennig. Gwnaeth Tom Hughes y cyfan a ofynnais iddo wneud a sgoriodd ddwy gôl dda. Chwaraeodd Iwan Williams yn dda fel cefnwr chwith tra gwnaeth Iestyn Woolway argraff fawr pan ddaeth i’r cae ac mae’n chwaraewr addawol, cyffrous. Roedd bob un o’r pum gôl yn rhai o safon. Dim ond cyffyrddiad oedd angen ar ddwy ohonynt ond roeddynt o ganlyniad i symudiadau ardderchog. Wrth gwrs, mae yna wahaniaeth mawr wrth gamu i lefel Uwch Gynghrair Cymru lle byddwch yn cael eich cau i lawr yn sydyn iawn ond roedd y perfformiad yn un addawol iawn. Gobeithio y bydd hyn yn arwain i nifer ohonynt ddod i ymarfer gyda’r tîm cyntaf. Mae’r cynnig yna iddynt ac rwy’n siwr y gwnant ymateb yn gadarnhaol. Diolch am eich cefnogaeth. Mae’n wych clywed y canu a’r gefnogaeth swnllyd! Port v Grange Quins 28/01/06 Paul Roberts Much has been made in the press and on the internet of the Paul Roberts situation. The Welsh Premier website said that we had issued 7 days notice for him but this is not true as we were aware that he is on contract and so the 7 days approach procedure does not apply. It was no secret that we had chased him during the summer but he decided to stay at Bangor and we have not instigated any recent contact as it appears from reports that again he has reiterated his intention to stay at Bangor. And as a contract player that is how it should be. Les Davies Porthmadog have received 7 days notice from Bangor for Les Davies, but as a contract player we have informed both the manager and the secretary at Bangor that we will not allow them to approach him. Hopefully this will be the end of the episode and both Les and Paul can concentrate on their football. Les has received great vocal support during his time at the club and he has become something of a hero for many of the younger fans who have songs and chants for him. There is even a website dedicated to him. Les has not always received this kind of support at previous clubs and this along with the atmosphere at the club is bringing out the best in him and I am sure that there is much more to come from him. Clubs at a higher level are keeping an eye on him and we would never stand in his way. But we would be most reluctant to let him leave for another Welsh Premier club. North Wales Coast Challenge Cup I was very pleased with the performance of the team against Connah’s Quay on Tuesday night. All the young lads did well. Iwan Thomas in midfield excellent giving 100% and he scored a cracking goal. Tom Hughes did everything I had asked of him and scored two good goals. Iwan Williams did well at left back while Iestyn Woolway made a big impact when he came on and he is an exciting prospect. All five goals were quality efforts. There were a couple of tap-ins but the build–up for both was excellent. There is a big difference in the Welsh Premier of course where you are closed down far more quickly but they were promising performances. Hopefully this will be a stepping stone for many of them to come and train with the first team. The offer is there for them and I am sure that they will respond in a positive manner. Thanks for your support. It’s great to hear the chants and the vocal backing! |
