Prestatyn Town v Port: Rhagolwg / Preview

Pnawn Sadwrn bydd Port yn teithio i Brestatyn, clwb sydd wedi adfywio ers i Neil Gibson gymryd yr awenau unwaith eto. Cawsom rhybudd ganddynt ar Wyl San Steffan fod pethau wedi newid ar Erddi Bastian wrth iddynt rh oi curfa o 3-0 dros eu cymdogion o’r Rhyl o flaen torf o 834. Hon oedd eu 3ydd buddugoliaeth yn olynol ac yn eu codi i 13eg yn y tabl. Alex Jones, Dabiel Davies ac Ian Griffiths sgoriodd y goliau, y 3 yn dod yn yr ail hanner. Ers iddo ddychwelyd i’r clwb mae Griffiths wedi sgorip 9 gûl.
Felly gall Port ddisgwtl sialens tipyn anoddach y tro yma na gafwyd ar Y Traeth yn ôl ym mis Awst pan enillodd Port o 2-0 gyda Gruff John a Joe Chaplin yn rhwydo. Bydd Port ar ûl colli ar Ddydd Gwyl Dan Steffan yn edrych i daro ‘nol gyda buddugoliseth i gadw’r ail safle yn y tabl. Bydd rhaid ceisio gneud unwaith eto heb Jay Gibbs sydd a 2 gem arall o’i waharddiad i fynd.
O ddiddordeb, y gêm yn erbyn Bangor oedd y tro cynta’, y tymor hwn, i Port fethu a sgorio. Amdani ddydd Sadwrn! C’mon Port !!

On Saturday Port will travel to meet a revitalised Prestatyn Town. The north coast club gave notice on Boxing Day that things are being turned around a Bastion Gardens since Neil Gibson took to the helm again. The 3-0 drubbing of an in-form Rhyl team represents a 3rd straight win for Neil Gibson’s team, lifting them to 12th place in the table. The game at Rhyl attracted a crowd of 834 with Alex Jones, Daniel Davies and Ian Griffiths netting the second half goals. Grifiths has now scored 9 league goals since his return to Bastion Gardens.
Port can expect a far sterner test on Saurday than that provided by Prestatyn at the Traeth back in August. On that occasion Port won by 2-0 with Gruff John and Joe Chaplin scoring the goals. Port beaten in the league on Boxing Day, for the first time since late September will be looking to bounce back with a win to retain their 2nd placed spot in the table. Port will again be without central midfielder Jay Gibbs, who has two more games of his suspension to sit out.
Of interest, the game against Bangor was the first time this season that they have failed to find the net. Go for it Saturday! C’mon Port!!

PARCIO ar WYL SAN STEFFAN / BOXING DAY PARKING

Gan ein bod yn disgwyl torf sylweddol ar gyfer y gêm ddarbi gyda Bangor, atgoffir cefnogwyr fod pob maes parcio yn Porthmadog yn RHAD ac am DDIM ar Wyl San Steffan.
Bydd hyn yn cynnwys prif faes parcio’r dre’, wrth ymyl siop Wilko. O’r fan honno gellir cerdded i lawr Heol yr Wyddfa, o dan Pont y Ffordd Osgoi a chyrraedd Y Traeth mewn dim o dro.
Er fod parcio ar gael ar Y Traeth, gallai dewis un o feysydd y dre’ fod o gymorth ichi osgoi unrhyw drafferthion traffig posib’.
Dewch yn fuan!!

As we are anticipating a large crowd for the local derby with Bangor City, we remind supporters that all the car parks in Porthmadog are FREE on Boxing Day.
That includes he main town car park near Wilko’s Store. From here it is only a short stroll down Snowdon Street, under the By-pass Bridge to reach the Traeth.
Though here is parking available at the Traeth this alternate parking option could well help supporters to avoid potential congestion.
Come early!!

Port v Bangor: Rhagolwg / Preview

Noddwr / Match Sponsor: R J Williams Honda, Talsarnau

Ers y tro diwetha’ i’r ddau gyfarfod yn ôl ym mis Awst, bu edrych ‘mlaen garw gan gefnogwyr i’r gêm hon.
Mae rhediad diweddar Port hefyd yn ymestyn yn ôl i’w gêm, ym mis Medi, yn erbyn Airbus ac ers hynny maent yn ddiguro yn y gynghrair gan ennill 7 gêm gyda un yn gyfartal.
Yn ddiweddar mae Alex Darlington wedi bod ar dân i Fangor ac ar frig rhestr sgorio’r HGA gyda 12 gôl. Yn y gêm ddiwetha rhwydodd 4 o’r 5 gôl yn erbyn Treffynnon. Bydd yn rhoi prawf ar amddiffyn cadarn Port, sydd â record wych, gyda dim ond un gôl i’w herbyn yn y 5 gêm gynghrair ddiwethaf.
Mae’r cyfan yn ein paratoi at frwydr go iawn ac, i ychwangu ychydig fwy o sbeis i’r achlysur, fydd hon yn gêm rhwng yr 2ail a’r 4ydd yn y tabl ac fe gofiwch hefyd i Port gipio’r 3 phwynt yn Nantpoth!
Ers i’r ddau glwb gyfarfod o’r blaen bu newid rheolwr ar Nantporth gyda’r profiadol Gary Taylor Fletcher yn cymryd drosodd wrth Craig Harrison. Yn ymuno fel is-rheolwr mae Alan Morgan.
I’r Traeth bydd pob ffordd yn arwain pnawn Mawrth!! Dewch yno!! C’mon Por!!

Since the last meeting between the two clubs back in August, supporters have looked forward to the re-match. The Boxing Day clash will be a contest between two of he HGA’s form sides. Both clubs have been on strong runs. Since going down to league pacesetters Airbus. Bangor have won 6 out of 7 with the other loss coming at the Belle Vue.
Port’s run also extends back to a September defeat to Airbus since when they are on an unbeaten league run of 8 games which includes 7 wins and the draw at Conwy.
In form Bangor forward, Alex Darlington, heads the HGA goalscorers with 12 goals.and, last time out against Holywell Town, he netted 4 of the 5 goals. He will provide a stiff test for the Port defence whcih has an excellent record, conceding just once in he last 5 games.
All of this sets up a battle royal on Boxing Day. The fact that Port won at Nantporth will add further bite to his encounter.between the 2nd and 4h in he table.
Since the clubs last met there has been a change of manager at Nantporh with the highly experiemced Gary Taylor Fletcher taking over and has been joined by Alan Morgan as his assistant.
All roads will lead to the Traeth on Boxing Day!! Be there!! C’mon Port!!

Darbi ‘Ddolig 2009 / The 2009 Christmas Derby

Ar Ddydd Gwyl San Steffan bydd Port yn croesawu Bangor I’r Traeth. Dyma’r tro cynta’ I’r ddau gyfarfod dros y ‘Dolig ers 2009. Chwaraewyd y gêm honno ar ddydd Sul y 27ain Rhagfyr ar Ffordd Ffarar, a coffa da am yr eicon o gae Y canlyniad oedd buddugoliaeth o 2-0 i Fangor. Jamie Reed rhwydodd y ddwy gôl, gyda’r ail yn dod yn y munud ola’.
I’ch atgoffa dyma’r ddau dîm ar y diwrnod:
Porthmadog: Richard Morgan, Euron Roberts, Mike Foster (Jack Jones 81'), Ryan Davies, John Keegan, Gareth Parry, Dan Pyrs, Ceri James (Marc Gornall 63’), Mike Thompson (Marc Evans 46'), Aden Shannon, Chris Jones.Eilyddion heb eu defnyddio: Dylan Williams, Meilir Ellis (gk ).
Bangor: Paul Smith, Swanick (Clive Williams 50'), Chris Roberts, Michael Johnson, Brewerton, Morley, Reed, Hoy (Garside 46'), Sharp, Stott, Sion Edwards (Marc Limbert 65'). Subs not used: Mark Smyth, John Owen.
Bydd yna ddau a chwaraeodd yn y gêm honno yng ngharfan Port dydd Mawrth. Un wedi newid clwb -Sion Edwards- ac un sydd wedi ail ddarganfod ei hun fel amddiffynwr canol – Ceri James.
Y dorf yn 2009 oedd 678. Medrwn ni guro hyn ddydd Mawrh?

On Boxing Day Port will take on Bangor City at the Traeth. This will be the first time the two clubs have met for a Christmas Derby fixture since 2009. That game was played on the fondly remembered Farrar Road Ground on Sunday the 27th December, rather than on the Boxing Day. The game resulted in a 2-0 win for the home team with Jamie Reed scoring both goals with the 2nd coming in the final minute of the game.
For the record the teams on that day were:
Porthmadog: Richard Morgan, Euron Roberts, Mike Foster (Jack Jones 81'), Ryan Davies, John Keegan, Gareth Parry, Dan Pyrs, Ceri James (Marc Gornall 63’), Mike Thompson (Marc Evans 46'), Aden Shannon, Chris Jones. Subs not used: Dylan Williams, Meilir Ellis (gk ).
Bangor: Paul Smith, Swanick (Clive Williams 50'), Chris Roberts, Michael Johnson, Brewerton, Morley, Reed, Hoy Garside 46'), Sharp, Stott, Sion Edwards (Marc Limbert 65'). Subs not used: Mark Smyth, John Owen.
There are two survivors of that day 9 years ago, one having changed clubs -Sion Edwards- and the other -Ceri James- having re-invented himself as a central defender.
The attendance on he day was 678. Can we top that on Tuesday?

Diolch Huw! / Thanks Huw!

Derbyniodd y Clwb anrheg Nadolig buan yn ddiweddar pan wnaeth un o’i gyn chwaraewyr a mab o’r dref yrru cyfraniad sylweddol pedwar ffigwr i chwyddo’r coffrau. Siec doleri a dderbyniwyd oddiwrth Huw John Williams, gynt o Heol Fadog ond sydd bellach wedi ymgartrefu yn Kansas City yn yr Unol Daliaethau ers rhai blynyddoedd. Bu Huw yn trefnu ysgolion pêl-droed uchelgeisiol yn ardal Kansas ers degawdau.
Trwy cyd ddigwyddiad fe chwaraeodd gyda Port a Dinas Bangor pan yn chwaraewr ifanc dawnus yn ogystal a bod yn gapten ar dim pêl-droed o dan 18 Ysgolion Cymru. Bron sicr mai Port gaiff ei gefnogaeth ar ddydd San Steffan!
Gwyliwch allan am y safle we ac un o raglenni gemau mis Ionawr am fwy o wybodaeth am hanes a chefndir Huw ynghyd a datblygiad ei fenter pêl-droed llwyddiannus yn yr Unol Daliaethau.
Tad Huw, wrth gwrs, yw Robin Williams, eto yn gyn chwaraewr o’r Clwb ac un o’r cefnogwyr mwyaf selog sydd gennym.

The Club received an early Christmas present in the form of a four figure dollar cheque from the USA recently. It was a donation from former player and lad from Port. Huw John Williams who was born and raised in Heol Fadog. For several years Huw has resided in Kansas City and has been involved in running ambitious soccer schools and camps in that area and beyond.
By coincidence Huw played, in his younger days, for both Port and Bangor City as well as captaining the Welsh Schools Under 18’s team. We have a feeling, however, that he will be backing Port on Boxing Day!
Look out for our website and one of January’s match programmes for more detailed information about Huw’s background and how he managed to become one of the most successful soccer schools and camps entrepreneur in the USA.
Huw’s father, Robin Williams of Heol Fadog is also, of course, a former player from the late 1950’s and is still one of our most enthusiastic supporters.

Ennill yn Llanbêr / Res win at Llanberis.

Mewn tywydd drwg iawn, llwyddodd yr Ail-dîm gynal eu safle ar frig y Gynghrair, gyda buddugoliaeth dda o 3-2 dros Llanberis sydd yn yr ail safle,. Mae’r fantais ar y brig yn 10 pwynt.
Rhwydodd Arwyn Jones ac Aled Williams yn yr hanner cynta’ a daeth y gôl a sicrhaodd y 3 pwynt ar 83 munud gyda Reece Evans yn sgorio.
Canmoliaeth I’r hogia’ am wneud hyn heb 3 o’u carfan arferol a oedd ar ddyletswydd gyda’r tîm cynta’.

In very difficult conditions the Reserves consolidated their position on top of the Reserve League with a excellent 3-2 win over 2nd placed Llanberis. This extends their lead to 10 points.
Arwyn Jones and Aled Williams netted for Port in the 1st half and then with the score on 2-2 Reece Evans scored the winner on 83 minutes.
The win was achieved without the services of three regulars who were on 1st team duty bolstering a depleted squad.

Llanrhaeadr v Port: Rhagolwg / Preview

I’w chwarae yn / to be played @LLANSANTFFRAID-YM-MECHAIN (Post Code: SY22 6AE)

Yn dilyn y frwydr epig ar Y Maes Awyr y Sadwrn diwethaf, bydd Port yn dychwelyd at y gemau bara menyn y penwythnos hwn. Taith i'r Dreflan yn Llansantffraid, cartre’ dros dro Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant sy'n aros. Y tro diwethaf inni ymweld â’r cae hwn oedd i chwarae TNS.!!
Bydd camp y Sadwrn diwethaf, yn dal Airbus dros gyfnod o ddwy awr, ond yn ychwanegu at hyder y garfan wrth wynebu’r sialensau sy’n dod.
Mae Llanrhaeadr yn 8fed yn y tabl, yr ucha o’r tri a enillodd ddyrchafiad llynedd. Wrth inni agosáu at yr hanner ffordd yn y tymor maent yn glir o'r tri gwaelod ac yn anelu i symud yn uwch. Mae ei record ddiweddar yn gymysg, yn ennill dwy a cholli tair. Collwyd yn drwm yn erbyn Bangor a hefyd y gêm ddiwethaf yn Prestatyn.
Mae Port wedi ennill eu 4 gêm gynghrair ddiwethaf ac yn chwilio am y 5ed C’mon Port!!

Following an epic contest at the Airfield last Saturday, Port are back in league action this weekend, travelling to Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant’s temporary home at the Treflan, Llansantffraid, a ground we have not visited since It stopped being TNS’s home ground.
Last Saturday’s performance, holding Airbus in a two-hour marathon can only increase confidence for the league challenges ahead.
Llanrhaeadr are in 8th place in the table, the highest of the three promoted clubs. As we near the halfway mark in the season, the mid-Wales club are well clear of the relegation places and able to aim higher and make further progress. Their recent record shows two wins and three defeats in their last 5 fixtures. But those defeats include a 9-0 loss at Nantporth and, last time out 5-2 at Prestatyn.
Port are on a run of 4 straight league victories and will travel looking for their 5th …..! C’mon Port!!

Ryan i CPD Bodedern / Ryan to Bodedern FC

Mae Ryan Taylor wedi penderfynu ymuno â chlwb Bodedern.
Er ei fod wedi creu dipyn o argraff ers ymuno yn yr haf nid yw wedi sicrhau lle hollol rheolaidd yn y tîm.
Dywedodd Craig am y penderfyniad, “Yn ddiweddar mae Ryan wedi stryglo i dorri fewn i’r tîm ac mae’n awyddus i chwarae’n rheolaidd. Mae’r garfan yn un gystadleuol mae’n sialens bob amser i gadw pawb yn hapus er waetha ein bod ar rhediad mor dda.
“Mae Ryan yn chwaraewr da a gonest ac roeddwn wedi gobeitio ei weld yn aros yn hirach ond nid dyna’r sefyllfa ac rwy’n dymuno’n dda iddo am weddill y tymor.”
Dymuna’r clwb ddiolch i Ryan gan ddymuno’n dda iddo at y dyfodol.

Ryan Taylor has made the decision to join Bodedern FC
Despite making a very good impression since joining Port in the summer, he has not gained a regular spot in the team.
Craig Papirnyk commented on the decision saying, “Ryan has struggled recently to break into the side and he wants to play more football. We have a very competitive squad and it will always be a challenge to keep everyone happy even when we are on a great run.
“Ryan is a good , honest lad and I’d hoped he’d stay with us longer but it isn’t to be and I’d like to wish him well for the remainder of the season.”
The club thanks Ryan and wishes him the best of luck in the future.

Craig ydy Rheolwr y Mis / Craig is Manager of the Month

Llongyfarchiadau i’r rheolwr Craig Papirnyk sydd wedi’i enwi yn Rheolwr y Mis am Hydref/ Tachwedd. Prin fod hyn yn syndod i neb o ystyried y canlyniadau a gafwyd dros y cyfnod.
Yn ystod y cyfnod o ddau fis arweiniodd Port i’r ail safle yn y tabl. Dros y cyfnod hefyd cafwyd rhediad o 7 gêm ddi-guro, yn ennill 6 gyda un gêm yn gyfartal.
Cafwyd buddugoliaethau cynghrair dros Rhuthun, Cegidfa a Gresffordd.
Yn ogystal roedd yna fuddugoliaethau Cwpan Cymru oddi cartref yn Pwllheli a Llanfair Caereinion ac yng Nghwpan Huws Gray, ar Y Traeth, dros Conwy.
Yn ddigon eironig y tim i sicrhau gem gynghrair gyfartal oedd Conwy ond, ers hynny, collodd eu rheolwr Gareth Thomas ei swydd ar Y Morfa.
Mewn 5 o’r 7 gem cadwodd Port lechen lân. Record arbennig felly. Dal ati Craig! C’mon Port!!

Highslide JS
Paps - Rheolwr y Mis / Manager of the Month

Congratulations to our manager Craig Papirnyk who has been named Manager of the Month for October/ November. This is hardly a surprise given the outstanding results achieved over that period.
During the two-month period he has led Port to second place in the HGA table. In that time, they have remained unbeaten, playing a total of 7 games winning 6 with one a draw.
League wins have been gained over Ruthin Town, Guilsfield and Gresford Athletic.
Welsh Cup victories have come away at Pwllheli and Llanfair United together with a Huws Gray Cup win over Conwy Borough.
The only team to hold Port, in a league fixture, was Conwy Borough and ironically their manager Gareth Thomas has been relieved of his duties at the Morfa!
Of the 7 games played 5 have seen Port keep clean sheets. All in all, a quite outstanding record, keep it going Craig! C’mon Port!!
07/12/18
Ail-dîm yn gyfartal / Reserves held to a draw

Yn dilyn rhediad o 12 buddugoliaeth yn olynol, cyfartal oedd y canlyniad heno rhwng cynta’ a’r ail yn y tabl. Gorffennodd y gêm yn ddi-sgôr rhwng Port a Dinbych, sydd yn dipyn o syndod wrth ystyried fod y ddau glwb wedi rhwydo 95 o goliau rhyngddynt yn y gynghrair y tymor hwn.
Chwaraewyd y gêm mewn ‘gwynt heriol’. Mae’r canlyniad yn gadael Port yn dal 9 pwynt ar y blaen ar ôl 13 o gemau.
Meddai Sion Eifion ar y diwedd, “Gêm dda iawn ar Y Traeth heno. Y canlyniad yn un teg gyda dau dîm yn anelu i chwarae yn y dull cywir.”

Following a run of 12 straight wins the Reserves were held to a draw at the Traeth tonight in a game between the league’s top two. Port and Denbigh Town played out a goalless draw, which was surprising, given that these two clubs have, between them, scored 95 league goals this season.
The game was played in ‘challenging windy conditions. The result leaves Port still with a 9-point lead with 13 games played.
Sion Eifion commented at the end, “Really good game down the Traeth tonight! Fair result with two good teams looking to play the right way! “

Dewi i Lanerchymedd / Dewi signs for Llanerchymedd

Mae Dewi Thomas, yr amddiffynwr a ymunodd â Port dros yr haf, wedi aewyddo i CPD Llanerchymedd.
Eglurodd Craig y sefyllfa fel hyn, “Yn ddiweddar mae Dewi, a gafodd drafferth efo’i ffêr ers tipyn, wedi cael chwistrelliad cortisôn at ddau asgwrn sy’n cyffwrdd.
“Mae’n aros am lawdriniaeth ond gall chwarae eto rwan. Bydd Dewi yn cael amser ar y cae gyda chlwb lleol. Mae’n awyddus iawn i chwarae eto ac, wrth symud lawr lefel neu ddwy, caiff y cyfle i wneud hyn a gwella ei ffitrwydd.”
Ychwanegodd Craig, “Mae’n hogyn ardderchog ac os aiff y cyfan yn iawn rwy’n gobeithio ei weld yn ôl gyda Port yn fuan.”

Dewi Thomas, who joined Port in the summer from Holyhead, has signed for Llanerchymedd FC.
Craig Papirnyk gave the background to the decision, “Dewi has recently received a cortisone injection on his ankle which he’s struggled with for some time as two bones have been rubbing together.
“He is awaiting an operation for this, but is able to play again now. Dewi will go and get minutes locally and see how his ankle holds out. He’s in desperate need to get back playing and with dropping a few level, he will get the opportunity to do this as well as improve his fitness.”
Added Craig, “He’s a great lad and all being well I hope to see him at Port again in the near future.”

Cwpan Cymru Rownd 3 / Up for the Cup!!

Pnawn Sadwrn bydd Port yn teithio i Frychdyn ar gyfer 3edd Rownd Cwpan JD Cymru. Does dim angen dweud y bydd hon yn gêm anodd yn erbyn y tîm ar frig yr HGA. Mae gan Airbus record anhygoel eleni; yn ennill bob un o’u 14 gêm gynghrair sydd yn rhoi mantais o 13 pwynt iddynt dros Port sydd rwan yn yr ail safle; yn ennill eu dwy gêm Cwpan Cymru a dwy gêm yng Nghwpan Huws Gray. Yr unig glwb i’w curo ydy Cei Conna, y clwb ar frig Uwch Gynghrair Cymru a hynny yn Cwpan Nathaniel MG.
Bydd yn bendant yn dalcen caled felly, ond mae Port hefyd ar rhediad arbennig, gyda’r hyder yn uchel yn y garfan. Mae’r clwb ar rhediad 10 gêm ddi-guro ( ennill 9 cyfartal 1) a hynny mewn gemau cynghrair a chwpan. Yn wir y tro diwetha’ iddynt golli oedd yn erbyn Airbus ar Y Traeth o 2-1 gyda’r gôl holl-bwysig yn cyrraedd 10 munud o’r diwedd. Cafwyd y newyddion mwyaf cadarnhaol diweddar wrth i Julian Williams ddychwelyd, gan sgorio ddwywath yn erbyn Treffynnon.
Gêm i dynnu dwr o’r dannedd, rhwng 1af ac 2ail yn yr HGA. C’mon Port!!

On Saturday Port will travel to Broughton for a 3rd Round JD Welsh Cup tie. There is little need to emphasise that this is a really difficult game against the runaway leaders of the HGA. Airbus have a magnificent record this season; winning all 14 league fixtures giving them a 13-point margin over Port who now lie in 2nd spot; they have won two Welsh Cup matches and two Huws Gray Cup ties. Their only defeat came against Connah’s Quay, the WPL leaders, in the Nathaniel MG Cup.
This will be a very tough nut to crack for Port but they are also on an excellent run of form with confidence high within the squad. Port are on an unbeaten run of 10 league and cup games (winning 9 and 1 draw). In fact, their last defeat came, in a close contest at the Traeth, against Saturday’s opponents. Airbus were 2-1 winners with the all-important score coming 10 minutes from time. The most positive news for Port was the return of Julian Williams and scoring twice against Holywell Town.
This is a game to savour, between 1st and 2nd in the HGA table. C’mon Port!!

Port v Treffynnon / Holywell: Rhagolwg / Preview

Noddwr / Match Sponsor: Grey Slate and Stone

Pnawn Sadwrn bydd Port yn croesawu Treffynnon i’r Traeth ar gyfer gêm gynghrair. Sioe funud olaf cafwyd yn Gresffordd ond yn ddigon i ennill y 3 phwynt a’u cadw yn tri ucha’r tabl. Roedd yna ddigon o agweddau cadarnhaol i’r perfformiad yn Gresffordd. Roedd yn dda croesawu Julian Wiliams yn ôl a’i weld yn siarp ac hyderus yn ystod ei hanner awr ar y cae; Shaun Cavanagh yn rhwydo ei 7fed gôl o’r tymor a’r amddiffyn yn cadw llechen lân unwaith eto.
Y Sadwrn diwethaf colli o 3-0 yn erbyn Airbus, y clwb sydd wedi dominyddu’r gyngrair, oedd hanes Treffynnon. Ar hyn o bryd maent yn 14eg yn y tabl, sefyllfa anarferol iawn i’r clwb. Mae ei record dros y 5 gêm ddiwetha’ yn dangos un buddugoliaeth ac un gêm gyfartal. Mae’r clwb yn dal i ddiodde’ o gychwyn gwael ond gyda John Haseldin yn ôl yn rheolwr ac un neu ddau o gyn chwaraewr yn ôl hefyd, medrwn ddisgwyl iddynt ddringo’r tabl.
Bu y gemau ar Y Traeth rhwng y ddau glwb, yn ystod y tymhorau diweddar, yn rhai agos efo ychydig iawn o goliau. Y tymor diwethaf cyfartal 1-1 oedd hi ac yn y ddau dymor blaenorol 1-0 i Port gyda goliau Rob Evans a Sion Parry yn sicrhau’r pwyntiau.
Medrwn ddisgwyl gêm agos, galed eto ddydd Sadwrn. C’mon Port!!

On Saturday Port will welcome Holywell Town to the Traeth for a league fixture. Last weekend’s late, late show gave them the 3pts which kept them in the top three in the HGA table. There were plenty of positives from the visit to Gresford, with the return of Julian Williams following several weeks out and, in the half hour he had on the pitch, looking sharp and ready to boost the attack, Shaun Cavanagh scoring his 7th goal of the season and the defence keeping another clean sheet.
Last Saturday Holywell suffered a 3-0 home defeat to the all-conquering league leaders Airbus. At present the Wellmen are in the unusually low league position of 14th. Their recent record shows one win in the last five games. They are still suffering from a poor start to the season but with John Haseldin’s return as manager together with several former players we can expect the Flintshire club to climb the table.
Games at the Traeth between the two clubs have been tight affairs in recent seasons with very few goals. Last season it was a 1-1 draw and in both previous seasons 1-0 wins for Port with goals from Rob Evans and Sion Parry giving them the points.
We can expect Saturday’s clash to be another tough close contest. C’mon Port!!
